i might play here alot when u hit the newest patch thats coming out on live, gonna leave 2.4.3 once this server goes to 3.1, if you guys upgrade to s7 patch (not adding s7 gear if u do ofc) then ill play here most the time

Just an update, we'll be having to wait for 3.2 support in addition we'll have to do a lot of redesigning since newer gear has been added to the game. We'll hold a PTR for this once it is ready.

I have lost contact with Dudzer and we recently found out apparently if we have 2 modems, and add a telephone line to out mountain house cable plan we'll actually save like 300 dollars a year :/ so it looks like it's the better way all around.

I believe the server currently *could* run two servers, but since we're trying to get the upload speed higher we might just need 2 servers or something so we'll have to raise money for that.

Something I'm looking into now is Fiber Optic. Apparently these wires are so high-tech and fast they send data through signals of light and light travels very, very fast. They are available in my area, but I need to research it more. If we can find better signals near my house here I'll move the server here and host them in the basement office room XD.

Verizion FiOS is currently not available for the state of North Carolina. :(. However it is in for future deployment meaning it is scheduled to come. There would be no reason to skip the town I live in either since it's very big and an attraction for race car fans.

Looking at one PDF which not sure if was real said 25down/5up for $179.99 a month, that is a NO from us. But then looking on the official site I saw this a bundle of a telephone line(heh) and a Fiber Optic internet line is $79.99 for 15down/5up or $89.99 25down/15up a month, I could live with that. But it would cost every penny of Smolderforge money I make meaning the 3.x server would HAVE to open with it. But with no lag people are bound to start donating a bit more. I wonder if the phone line is long distance... lol Smolderforge telephone support?

So figuring here, with that cost it would be wise to share that internet for 2 servers. So doing the math 15(upload speed) divided by 2 is 7.5 times 100 players is 750 (couldn't you do that math in your head) MEANING each server could hold 750 people. Of course that is ridiculous and the mall would be chaotic. I would say 500 / 500 each server. and HEY! My parents might switch from our crappy Windstream here and pay for like 1/2 the speed since they could use it and there still be no lag. That's a good possibility.

We'll be calling them tomorrow to see when they plan to deploy for North Carolina.

That'd be very helpful but I'm afraid Fiber Optic isn't gonna be available for months. I guess we could call and ask.

Gotta get it upgraded from 3.7 server to 4.1 now to be parallel with 2.4.3.
