The problem with having a mall in any expansion area is that , people with slower computers will experience lower frame rate in crowded areas. Some people will probably consider this lag and start blaming it on the server.

Which is one of the several reasons we don't have the malls in expansion areas.

Um, the top of Storm Peaks sounds nice and all, but like I said I don't like to have malls with vendors lines up, or like this, all around in a circle.

I would like to thank everyone for their input on this matter. Due to so many alternate responses we researched each area and we landed on the decision of Azshara Crater just to be different. As you can see in the video uploaded here from the behind the scenes the area in Azshara we were using was the best one we could find and was just causing too many problems with not enough building and spread-out-ness.

Therefore, we are keeping the mall at South Seas. We think it will be best to understand for people playing on both servers. There are numerous reasons we always have liked South Seas in the first place, and it reassure people I will list some of the main reasons. Firstly, the mall can be accessed by the normal WoW client, no BC or Wrath even needed to login and still play (some) and get assistance. Second, the mall is best for FPS related issues. Places with better graphics and depending on the person's computer and is the majority will experience lower-fps which physiologically is unappealing and annoying. Third, it's a very easy place to flag as a sanctuary. It's an island so people cannot simple cross the zone and start a massive PvP battle. With an island they would have to swim FAR out, die from fatigue, just to fight in the water when there's Hyjal every hour.
