Yeah makes sense, the whole diversity in gear is probably the biggest problem. Just trying to throw some ideas up in the air to appeal to all aspects and play styles! Plus I thought it would be pretty bad ass going to a wpvp zone and just having pure chaos! Other than that, the neutral duel area would be pretty cool as well.

tbh... world pvp is quite funny... but it has the same problem that all pvp like bgs and stuff has.

You cant balance it.
For example if you create a area like hyjal youll have gy-farming aswell and the ppl dont give a fuck about badges... most of the time all ppl are farming hks.

so nobody would kill guards or make dailys while a few low geared enemys are waiting at the next gy...

so...

my idea is:
make the city raids more attracive. retail like: give og and sw bosses. and i mean real bosses like aq 40 bosses or some... so its not enough to come with a 10 ppl group and gank abit... no you need nearly the whole faction to kill the the players and kill the boss... and if you for example kill the bosss the loot is awesome or youll get a achievment... i dont know... but there are serveral possibilities...
(that would also give the teamplay in the factions a huge push and has the same effect like a neurtal duell zone to connect the ppl)

but the idea of world pvp worked on tbc anyways just with areas around raid entrances, and on a pvp server... you wont get a high population around... especially cuz liron would teleport you directly back in a save zone.

(i would rlly appreciate crossfaction bgs or a system which is similar.... but thats offthread here)

last word:

i appreciaty the idea.neutral duell zone will be awesome(depends on the are ofc).and the city raid system would be so fucking awesome that henhouse will get a super large chocolate cookie with ice cream above it if he realizes it.

Your idea sound a lot better than mine, the idea of a city attack/defence would be pretty epic especially if a lot of players were involved! I would imagine the loot being pretty good to entice people into wanting to raid the city in the first place. Maybe honor, mounts, BoJ, weps/gear for mog, or maybe even legendary gear. Would personally love to get the Arcanite Ripper! :P (Not sure about the glaives because I know there's some controversy about it.)

It would be possible to change the city bosses, make them a bit more challenging, better rewards etc. I don't think we would want them dropping Sunwell gear however. How would we encourage city defence?

Hmm, that's a good question... Maybe, now this is just a thought, but what if the honor gained in cities for defenders and attackers from killing other players of the opposite faction was doubled? So, that way if attackers get outnumbered they can get something out of it if they don't kill the city leader, same with defenders. But I'm not exactly sure how you guys would work that out. :/
