Hello everyone! We have encountered quite a few tickets which deal in confusion with how transmog operates. So, I have provided this post in hopes that it clears up any confusion you may have.

Let's start off with armor. If you transmog armor, it must match the armor type you are already wearing. Meaning, let's say, you're wearing Warrior Season 3 gear; you cannot have it appear as anything else but armor that shares the armor type plate.

Now, weapons get a little tricky, because you also have to worry about which hand would hold it. That being said, you cannot have an 'Offhand' Dagger appear as a 'Mainhand'; and likewise, 'Mainhand' looking like an 'offhand' won't work either. And just like armor, the weapon types must match. A dagger cannot be a mace, for example.

I hope this clears up some of the misunderstanding regarding the new service.
