Scarlet Citadel was before the time of the iranis, wasn't it? Boy this will be interesting.

Unlike last time, I will be rescripting everything in C++, so some serious improvements will incur. Especially preventing loot exploitation at the ending--that is the major improvement.

Last night I finished restoring almost everything. Game objects, more npcs, waypoints for moving npcs, stances, etc. it. Is amazing how many game objects I spawned when I created the place in 2009. Literally. It is an EMPTY place. Every torch, book, candle, blazing fires, etc. I spawned and I totally forgot about it all. but the only thing that is left is their only EventAI scripts which I will need to read and remember how they work and then begin remaking them in C++ :).

Loot will be at the very end again due to this being an instance that can be reset and is dropping SWP gear. If people were able to just reset and rekill the first boss, we'd have a serious irani problem. Trash mobs as last time will probably have Rae chances to drop the recipes/patterns for the SWP stuff as well.

As for the quest line that NO ONE read, I will probably bring it back for something to do, but most likely revise the text some.


It feels scary to be giving out SWP again after having controlled it so much for the past year. But, SF as at its height of popularity when it was more accessible to players.

Awww yeah. I can't wait to try it out. So much cool stuff got removed, something to revamp PvE would definitely be awesome, and something that should be focused on along with removing bugs.

This was, as Henhouse mentioned, before the iranis. We had a somewhat higher skillcap and class knowledge when this instance was open, and when SF was still growing. Not sure how well they will handle it, but quite honestly Idgaf. It will most likely bring at least some sort of english speaking community, I know there's a handful of people who love custom instances in WoW, so we might see some of their crowd.

other than the iranis, the instance was really well done, not easy but not hard. Contained enough trash to wipe a bad group but was completely easy with a good one.

But i know myself and everyone of us in you MONSTER and probably a lot more guilds/party's will play this and it will just end up in trash farming. If we gonna break it down easy every cloth user want the sunfire robe and can now get it without a transfer, many warriors want the BS chest and neck, some rogues want the neck and the leather chest. The JC neck is really good to and i wouldn't mind to collect it myself.

Its true that i don't know anything about this instance and the trash is maybe hard but that wouldn't make it harder to farm it. If for example yM/United/GOD should do a big group we can either farm trash for patterns that everyone wants or just trying to clear the instance, if many of us are donors we will maybe think that it is more worth to farm trash (after we have downed the last boss that is.)

AND all the ring patterns that are long gone from the server, many people wants them and will grab them if they will be obtainable again. Maybe Im over thinking it but that sentence scares me a bit :)

Those NPCs don't even look like Scarlet crusaders... The fuck?
I mean the bosses. They changed their gear and models, and they don't look like Scarlets anymore..
