Is it just me or are we down to 6 badge votes? not a pressing issue cause 30 plus a day are still possible ingame.

Yes, one of the voting sites has been removed. I'm going to take a closer look at them all soon too. We had like ~3500 votes for that site this month and only 35 people out. That means 35 people viewed the site, but who knows if they are playing SF. All that for 3500 badges going out? Yeah it was high time we dropped that site.

is there a way to get us onto googles front search page like that? If it's just us and one other server open in terms of TBC, shouldn't we be a fuckton more popular?

It's a major polak and randoms server, that's why I've never counted it really.

If you want first place on the google search, you'd have to pay Google, thats one of the main reasons when your looking something up, dont always hit the first link that comes up, but keep searching.

But yeah, could be an investment worth the price if he gets 50+ more ppl here, and another 10 of em donate.

Yeah I knew about the whole searching thing, but I was not aware you had to pay google for top advertising. As far as I know, Hen could be able to afford it, if he's willing. Not sure about his viewpoints on this. Donations are usually good (lol imperium y u donate 200+usd to p server nub)

He's getting confused with Google AdWords(yellow advertisements) over actually Google rank listing. Two very different things. First off, I could not buy advertising because we would violation copyright checks when getting approved by Google anyway.

Google ranks pages based on many, many factors. The ones I'm most familiar with are keywords throughout the page, and traffic. Smolderforge does not have "2.4.3 private WoW server" written all over it. The name doesn't even contain "WoW" like most server names do. That's why we rank so low. I'm really not concerned with Google's traffic over the amount we already get through voting sites. If there's ever a time were I feel we need to be high ranking on Google I could change all the titles to include the 2.4.3 stuff, but as for now I think we're alright.
