Steve jobs was in my opinion a genius, he was innovative and clever; even those of us like myself who don't use apple products are influenced by him in some way; I for one probably wouldn't have a smartphone(nor would anyone else) if not for steve jobs and his brilliant mind.
This doesn't change my feelings about apple as a company though; my problem isn't the apple products, it's that apple has became a money grabbing whore; like activision blizzard, You don't buy an apple product for it's performance, you buy it for the brand.

On a slightly related note:To all those hipsters who sit in coffee shops wearing glasses with no lenses with their little macbook thinking they are god's gift to the rest of us, fuck you.
I like turtles because they're so chill. They don't hurt anyone. They're just like, "Hey man, I want to swim, and maybe eat some lettuce. But I'm gonna take my time getting there, I'm not in a rush. Because I'm a turtle."

Only Ireland?

I preordered the authorized biography today. It comes out Oct. 24th. It originally was scheduled to come out later but due to his death they've rushed it. Curious to see what secrets lurk inside.

Well he was a CEO, pretty normal to be an asshole here.
People tend to think of him as a brilliant genius, so it's highly likely for him being one sadistic tyrant at work, kinda makes sense to fire people who had a point and do some sort of big balls gesture. =P

There are two sides to everything and that obviously focuses on the bias against Apple. While some of that may be true, things are rough all over.

The two companies are very different. Apple is a hardware & software company, Microsoft is strictly software. Apple went onto achieve amazing things by doing that with Steve Jobs leading the company. He also created Pixar which he sold to Disney.

But did you know this: Steve Jobs' salary was only $1. He didn't care to earn more money, he had all he needed from earlier days and selling Pixar. His desire was to work to create amazing things for consumers, and advance us into the future. It was his passion. Despite being 56, he had no desire to retire yet, but was forced to because of his health. Bill Gates retired early and stopped working. Jobs' fought against cancer until his final days where he then passed leadership to Tim Cook. He's probably just going to pass his wealth on to his family for them to deal with it. Bill Gates was ~$52+ more billion dollars in worth than Steve Jobs. Bill Gates has the ability to give tremendously and still have amble left over.

Biased pictures are accurate and fun.

Even if you're not a fan of Apple's products you should give it up for Jobs for being a mastermind.

We've lost a genius. The Thomas Edison / Henry Ford of his time.
I realize this isn't the place or time to bring this up, but this is a pet peeve of mine.
Thomas edison didn't invent the light bulb, he only made it practical by finding a suitable filament.
Henry ford didn't invent anything ever, he was only the first person to mass produce the car, the ford T model.
