Donation Payment methods expanding
Donation Payment methods expanding
Due to constant interest from players, many questions regarding such, I'm currently investing time in looking into expanding our payment selections.
Right now I am in the process of integrating AlertPay alongside Paypal. We have to wait several days to be approved, as well as waiting for them to validate my information. But AlertPay from what I've been noticing so far looks great. In ways I feel like they are easier to use than Paypal... So if you want, go ahead and make an account there or something.
I've sent in a request several days ago on Boku.com to be considered to offer SMS payments. They will take about 2 weeks before I hear back and if I get declined... well they seemed to be the only good SMS payment service provider around :/. If we do get to offer SMS donations in the future, they will be about an addition 30-45% of the normal price. Why? Because carriers (AT&T, Verizon, vodafone, o2, etc.) charge a very large transaction fee with mobile payments. Always have, so we will still get the normal price, but have to mark it up due to their transaction fees.
As for Paysafecard, as someone suggested to me, they look interesting, however difficult to get considered to become what they call a "partner." Not sure if I am interested in that.

Re: Donation Payment methods expanding
I never heard back from Boku, however I did read their FAQ and somewhere in there it said the minimum amount of money THEY have to receive from transaction fees a month is 1,000 Euros. I was like, uhhh no.Mynce wrote:any news on the SMS donation ?
So the hunt goes on I'm afraid.

Little bit of an update, we're looking into Allopass now, there's a moderately good chance we'll be offering them soonâ„¢! (hopefully)

Re: Donation Payment methods expanding
I hope the SMS donation is available soon since a lot of people are asking for it at the moment.

Re: Donation Payment methods expanding
I would love to provide it but all the service providers are horrible. You either have to pay like 1000 euros upfront to start using it, charge extremely high usage fees, or are just plain terrible.Konar wrote:I hope the SMS donation is available soon since a lot of people are asking for it at the moment.
