PVP Rogue
PVP Rogue
Hey everyone, I wanted to make a rogue today and I was just curious to know what are the ideal stats that I should be looking for?
dmg, speed, power, hit rating, critical chance, expertise, stamina, agility, etc...
also what kind of weapons? daggers, swords, or fist weapons? which do you think is best?
thanks for any help, I truly appreciate it.

Re: PVP Rogue
anybody? I would like to have this as a reference not only for me but anyone else that wants to know more about player vs player when using a rogue, thanks.
Re: PVP Rogue
You need fast weapons, good combination of agility, AP, Crit and some stamina to survive out there.
For Assassination, you need two daggers to use mutilate.
For Combat, you can go with two powerful weapons. The can be slow, for eg. maces, and keep in mind that dmg is key here.
For Subtlety, you can go with dagger in main hand and a sword or fist weapon in off hand to use dagger reliant abilities like Ambush or you can stay away and use two swords/fist weapons.
For adds look for agility, AP, Crit. You don't need anything else.
You are free to change whatever u feel like to match your preferences. These are just basics of playing a PvP Rogue.

as combat you'll want a high-top end main hand but a FAST offhand for combat potency energy procs.
as sub nobody rolls with daggers unless they're bad (like you)
stat-wise, I'd stack pure attack power as combat or sub, but agi/crit as mutilate.
resilience wise i'd prolly be settling for 300~ but of course that's just me personally. get the belt, bracers and boots of tier 6 set as fast as possible for maximum awesomeness. get leggings of immortal night to go with them.

Re: PVP Rogue
You want a slow main hand for most spells scale with weopon dmg, and slow weopons have highest melee dmg
WEOPONS:
SUBTLEY: You'll want a fast off hand for cheap shivs, Hard hitting Mainhand to max the 115% hemos
COMBAT: Hard Hitting Main hand for Max sinister strike dmg and 150% riposte spell, a 1.4 would be best for combat potency procs, 1.5 Max for subtely so that shiv = 35 energy.
MUTILATE: HARDEST HITTING DAGGER (i.e SLOWEST), you'll also want a slow power full off hand dagger (scryers mutilator, shard of azzinoth, etc) to maximize mutilate dmg
GEMMING:
Ballz geming is perfectly clear though. The reason we stack AP over agil is that in pvp...
20 attack power = 20 attack power hitting a target with 400 resil
20 agility = 16 agil = 16 attack power hitting a target with 400 resil (20% less crit dmg)
THUS, with stacking attack power you will obtain more dmg in pvp.
BUT for further inspections for proofs.
MUTILATE PERSPECTIVE:
Majority of your talents emphasize on crit, infact you have a spell that grants you 100% crit on the next spell. Agility would help increase your crit further!
Beyond that, your survivability lacks just a bit, you don't have preparation so you can't swap to new situations as easily, thus stacking agility would help increase dodge rating thus survivability against melee targets
COMBAT PERSPECTIVE:
Talents usually define the gems you live by. In combat tree there is a spec that increases your overall agility by2%, and stamina by 4%. This does grant a little perk on agility. If going deep combat 5% less dmg from melee, makes survivability much easier with melee targets in longterm.
Unfortunately this percent increase means nothing in comparison to the dmg output of stacking AP. If you do feel you are getting preasured easily by melee targets though, it is always appropriate to swap to agility gems.
SUBTLEY PERSEPCTIVE:
Highly flexible, you don't burst for short term or long term. You lack in both areas. You live for the moments that arise not for the time of being. The reason for stacking AP is that you can sacrifice survivability for it. With such ease upon maneuverability (shadow step, x2 sprint, reduced cool downs) you don't rely upon taking hits, but rather avoiding it.
Beyond that Talents once again, 6th tier talent, deadliness 5/5 = 10% more AP. Yes the Sinister calling is 15% more agility though keep in mined that agility gets slimmed by resilience, and that additional dodge would no benefit, and crits are truly not where a kill springs from, but from removing the defenses that the opponents utilize or reversing offensive opportunities (ex Blink >>> Shadow step, Feral charge >>> Shadow Step).
So in the end of all things?
Mutilate: Stack Agility + CRIT
Combat: Stack AP + CRIT if good gear, Stack AGIL + CRIT if bad gear
Subtley: AP + CRIT ALWAYS
Thank you for your time.

Re: PVP Rogue
mate you're a spastic and get the fuck out of my forums, the only viable spec in Bc are step or muti, and step NEVER EVER USES A MAINHAND DAGGER you want as SLOW a mainhand as possible because hemo was never normalized(which in layman's terms means a slower offhand is 100% better than a faster one)Elesme wrote:Gz Hardlight :)

now come back when you actually have a fucking clue what you're talking about, the best part of you ran down the crack of your mother's behind.
edit:At least hardlight knows whats cracking.
I like turtles because they're so chill. They don't hurt anyone. They're just like, "Hey man, I want to swim, and maybe eat some lettuce. But I'm gonna take my time getting there, I'm not in a rush. Because I'm a turtle."
