Account selling / trading is no longer permitted

Hello everyone,

As some of you are aware scamming has become a problem on Smolderforge. Many players agree to trades, or purchases of the account's of others only to be scammed, have money stolen, donor codes used, etc. Many months ago we polled the community on their opinion regarding this issue. Players agreed that it was indeed a problem and the staff should disallow this activity from the server. To us, we view the original account creator as the real owner of an account, always. We never honor any "well ____ gave me this account and here is a screenshot saying so" as any sort of reason for us to view them as the rightful owner. Many other servers do not allow this, and almost any online game strictly forbids this type of activity.

We have decided to no longer permit this activity on Smolderforge under any circumstances. It causes major problems with account ownership resulting in the recalling of accounts, multiple people believing they "own" the account, no one being able to prove ownership, etc, etc. It is also a problem on our end. We believe that this activity is something we should no longer to go on. Therefore, effective immediately, our new policy towards this issue is as follows:

- Players attempting to sell / trade their account will be given a single severe warning that this activity is absolutely not permitted under any circumstances, and further attempt to do so will result in permanent account closure.
- Account trading, or trading an account for anything of value on another server is additionally, not permitted.
