We apologize for the long anticipated wait for these updates. We have been holding them off for a while now, but since we're unable to get the 3.2 server out until either we buy a new server, or Fiber Optic comes to our state. We cannot just wait to hold these updates off any longer. With all the 3.2 changes, please omit them for now, but keep in mind these changes are in the 3.2 server, only that it is not open.
In Memoriam: Simon Zerner
- I recently received horrible news that a good friend of mine, Simon Zerner was reported a missing person as of June 26th and had been last seen on the 24th of May. His younger brother, Toby Zerner is who got me started in web designing when I was younger, overtime growing my knowledge of computers. I owe pretty much everything in terms of my web-designing and programming ability to him. They both lived in Adelaide, Australia.
- I first met Simon by the alias "Jin" on Toby's (now closed) website -- Zelda World, which I worked on staff at, at the time. He was a very nice guy, great sense of humor and really could surprise you at times, like with the stunning comics he would draw!
- Simon and Toby both worked together on an amazing project I am glad to have taken part of called esoTalkâ„¢. It's a fast-free easy to use web forum software. Toby and Simon both spent hours working on it, programming it and having a great time. Toby posted on the esoTalk support forums around late July explaining Simon's disappearance.
- About 2 weeks later, Toby made a very saddening post on August 13th -- Simon had passed away. He was 24 years old.
- I have a hard time myself accepting the fact he's now gone. It just seems he might pop back on the forums some day... or reply to my shouts on his profile. Simon was a great person and I was honored to know him for a short few years while I did. I had the honor to speak to him on the last day he was seen (May 24th) through Gmail Chat; I only wish I could go back in time and tell him to be careful, or not leave the house when he left to the supermarket.
- My condolences go out to the entire Zerner family, in the truly saddening event.
- Simon, you will be sorely missed.
- Smolderforge has ripped through the 4th dimension of space and time and disrupted the time-space continuum to cause two parallel worlds to open up! Yes, that's right, in the near galaxy-realmlist there is the other parallel Smolderforge with 3.x support! Hurray!
- Smolderforge Arena Season 6 ended August 25th. Arena Season 7 will begin on August 29th. 2.4.3
- Stormwind Vault converted into a 5-man dungeon.
- Character transfer prices raised to $3USD
- Donor prices are $8 per character 3.x only
- Isle of Quel'Danas is a new daily-questing zone to earn badges of justice and level professions. 2.4.3 only
- Season 3 weapons are now buy able for 1000 arena points (no requirements!). applicable also to 3.x with Deadly.
- Hyjal now has new daily quests!
- Arena gear switched out. Players will now start with Hateful season 5 and earn Deadly Gladiator gear with Emblems of Heroism (I wanted the other emblems but I could only find the heroism for 10). There are no such things as Hateful weapons, therefore, you must use the items in the mall to earn your Deadly weapons. 3.x only
- All vendors upgraded their wares to level 80 material. 3.x only
- Heroism Tier 7 is purchasable for free from James Tier while earning Heroic Tier 7 (Valorous) for 10 Emblems of Heroism from Tiberius Tier. Valorous Tier 8 will be available from Kurk Tier for 30 Emblems of Heroism. Tier 8.5 Conqueror will be available in the donor mall.3.x only
- You can now logout instantly while in the mall or donor mall.
- It is no longer possible to start a duel in the mall. You will get an error.
- Mount vendor cleaned up, added level 70 epic flying mounts.
- Banker was added to the mall.
- Horoes was removed from Stormwind Vault.
- Fixed a bug in Scarlet Citadel.
- Fixed a bug in Stormwind Vault.
- Releasing spirit issues resolved in SWV and Scarlet Citadel.
- Tier 4 no longer requires tokens to buy (this wasn't intended) (applied in 3.x too)
- Mini Tyrael is no longer hostile to some factions. (applied in 3.x too)
- Soul Shards now sell in stacks of 20 and stay in stacks of 20. (applied in 3.x too)
- Call to Arms battlegrounds quests have had their reward lowered to 4 Badges of Justice, down from 5.
- Arathi Basin must have 6 players on each side to start a battle, and maintain that amount or the battleground will end soon.
- The battleground "ending soon" timer has been reduced to 2 minutes and 30 seconds, down from 5 minutes.
- Rocket Boots Xtreme and Xtreme Lite are now Bind on Pickup.
- Flask of Petrification is now Bind on Pickup.
- The fight has been taken to Northrend, Horde-Warchief Thrall and Alliance-King Varian Wrynn have launched an assault upon Icecrown. Yes, Northrend is open.
- Dalaran has a gas leak which is making some of the Horde guards kill people. The Kirin Tor have placed a open-quarantine on the city. Best not to enter.
- The local monkeys of South Seas have installed their very own barbershop -- in the trees! Check it out!
- Landro Longshot has gotten a new load of wares he's selling for 10 Emblems of Heroism. Narkk in the donor mall has additionally.
- Innkeeper have vendor has his wares upgraded to the newest stuff (potions, health stones, soulstones, food, drink, etc.)
- Amana Leafwind is ready to teach people the Grand Master ways of First Aid.
- Ilsa Blusterbrew would like to acknowledge her discovery in Cold Weather Flying. Her secret? A coat. Speak to her to learn more details about flying in the Northern lands.
- Due to the time-paradox Stormwind Vault and Scarlet Citadel have yet to arrive in this time. Same with Tylon. Liron is worried sick about his wife!
- Baltise Tyrael has launched a new line of titles for donors! Some are race/class specific, such as Archmage for mages, or "of Quel'Thalas" for Blood Elves. Then there are many for all players such as "the Insane".
- Hyjal is now equip for level 80 battle.
- Added some level 80 mounts to the mount vendor. Honor points required.
- Green, Red, Blue Proto drakes added to the mount vendor for a price of 15 Emblems of Heroism
- Character re-customization will be available for only $2 USD!
- Valaorin Qu'theni, Catilius Severus & Dovian Bronzebomb, Major and Minor Glyph vendors have been added (we're still trying to test them all!)
