vrobi human pally in wsg

Post by aocch1 »

So I'm in WSG carrying the flag. In our flag room waiting on team to return horde flag to cap. There are horde in the flag room we are fighting and have the last one down to less than 20% health when Vrobi decides to BoP me so I drop flag. Now I know there are noob pallys that do this sort of thing by accident, but I was full health and there were 3 people on a feral who was less than 20% health. After he does it he makes some comment about he did it because alliance are so stupid.

I feel as though this is simply a case of someone who is double logging. His main is in the bg on the horde side and wants an easy win. He just BoP's the fc in their fr so the other team can return easily and get a cap. This is probably the worst case of multi-faction abuse I've seen. As everyone knows, it's extremely common for horde to ghost queue bgs so they can get their main in. This leaves alliance short players leading to more alliance losses leading to more alliance leaving the server or switching to the horde side resulting in longer queues for everyone and more factional abuse.

I suggest the administration disallows multiple accounts on this server and doesn't allow cross faction toons on the same account. I realize people will find ways around this by using proxys or what have you, but at least it won't be a super simple thing to do and may reduce the amount of abuse a little.

As for Vrobi, I think administration should deal with him on this infraction. It completely destroys the game for everyone when someone does something like this. IMO, this is as bad as a hacker teleporting back and forth to the FR.

Vrobi isn't a new player here and I've played with him several times, he rarely BoPs the flag-carrier when he's subject to a take a lot of damage and can't handle it, or getting into a "danger zone" causing a lot of focuses on him, specially that you're a warrior with a lower gear than him, and I assume you were charging a lot which caused Vrobi to take such decision since he was the one healing you and knows how much healing you're consuming incautiously. I'd say that's the scenario and not the one you described as a multi-boxing and cross-faction queueing, he wouldn't do that.

In any way, if I were you or on my SP, I'd instantly offer the flag to someone able to protect it better, by that I mean stay as far as possible from threats, take the least damage and flee easily once closed down.

But don't bother yourself reporting such actions, they are spells and would never be punished. It's a matter of teamwork or not.

His main isn't on the horde side. He probably did that to you for a reason.

The scenario you describe is not what was happening at all. The game was in progress and he was a late comer. He appeared in the FR sometime during the fight we were having. I never received a single heal from him, nor did I need it as the feral was not targeting me. There were 3 of us in the room and 2 of us were dpsing the feral down. I'm really not sure what Vrobi was doing as I hadn't even noticed him during the fight until he BoP'd me. There was really no logic in it at all except to screw over the ally team.

Regardless of all the above, the fact remains that cross faction toons are a problem on this server and should be addressed. Failure to do so only provides a large number of problems which makes the game more unenjoyable for all. Since this is a donor server, the more people the more potential money. Having scenarios like this causes people to leave. With all the effort the administration puts into trying to get people to vote to draw new people in, they should take these things which cause people to leave more serious.
