Also, since it's really hard to find a game master online in the right time, isn't there any way to implement a script that disconnects anyone suspect of speedhacking? Tried it on lastwow around 3 years ago and it was great at its job, however it also disconnects players who have around 2500 MS but it helps in preventing false speedhack reports, such as the ones I got reported for when I was testing it using the mount and dismounting with thousands of ms. Who would play with such high latency anyway.

We had this once, it's called an anticheat system, and they rarely work perfectly. It sometimes would cause a lot of random teleports with movement. Our worked by if the server detected you moving faster than possible, you would basically teleport back to where you were a split second before you triggered the flag, so it would look like you were just lagging sometimes.

This could be falsely triggered often and could be annoying. If Deems, or Balls, any old players that are still here from those days can comment on this thread and definitely mention how annoying that is. We removed the system for that reason when Warden was put in place.

I can look into fine tuning a newer one and seeing if it provides any help. There are interesting ways server-side to catch people, like we've prevented fly hackers in BGs and arenas now... just requires us to think of a clever way to catch legitimate speed hackers.

It also pushed you back if you tried to jump in the water.

Ahh... the good ol' days when blink took you 1 step forward and you couldn't move for a second.

Couldn't jump and dismount mid-air without being slingshot back to where you jumped from.

Water walking was also not fun.

I honestly experienced it for many months on the other server, which i hated but had no choice for an instant tbc server and I wasn't introduced to smolderforge back then. Anyway I never had any problem similar to the ones you guys mentioned, maybe the script had something wrong? Also, the one I know doesn't teleport you, instead it simply warns you that in 10 seconds you'll be disconnected. But it never teleports you back.
