Hi all,

Before I begin, I want to say that English is not my native language, and I use Google Translate to make myself understood.

My problem now is that when I go into the arena (rating, skirmish and spectator), my latency is 50ms normally increases very rapidly towards atrosnomiques digits (5k +), so that I can spend hours in battlefield duel or /afk Tanaris, my connection remains to 50ms.

After staying up 10s arena, my latency is so important that I can not see anything, and the server disconnects me.

I thought my connection, but it does not shoed me that 20 times in a row only arena where I can stay all day in bg without problem. Note that I've changed my connection anyway, from my 3G phone to a hotspot, but same problem.

I thought of addons, but I tried without, and the same problem, and I also test with the addon site, but it changes nothing.

I note in closing that I have that Wow (that I had on NextGen) for years, and I could arena still there one week here and everything is going very well, I was even surprised to have as little latency here.

I have no idea what causes this problem but I know it affects more people than just you. Would be awesome if someone could solve this mystery.

"3G", " hotspot" : Your connection doesn't seem to be stable. Arena might take more net ressources, which can be an issue.
You should ping -t at SF adress, if you see some loss packets, here is your issue.

Apuclevercow ; je vois dans ta signature que tu es français (où du moins tu le parles), tu peux donc m'expliquer ? Et la réponse est non ; car j'ai cette même co depuis 3ans, et j'ai du faire pas moins de 5 serv, et le problème ne s'est jamais produit, ici même, je pouvais arène et tout se passait très bien.

Est-ce que tu peux lancer l'invite de commandes et écrire "ping www.smolderforge.com -t" ?
Au bout de l'envoi d'une trentaine ou quarantaine de requêtes tu peux faire un Ctrl+C pour l'arrêter. Ensuite clic droit au milieu de la fenêtre, tu appuies sur "Sélectionner" puis tu sélectionnes les statistiques qui sont apparues et tu les colles ici. Si tu n'as pas ou très peu de loss packets, c'est logiquement que ta connexion est stable.


Would be nice to get answers from a dev, who can probably be more appropriated to resolve such issues.

En espèrant que ma co ne soit pas le problème, sachant que je peux tout faire sur le serv sans problème, sauf les arènes qui me déco au bout de 10s. (Je peux arène sur d'autres serv sans probleme également)

This has absolutely nothing to do with our service. This has to do with your provider not handling the increase in traffic properly.

Why is that I can play on other serv more populated without having this problem?

As stated Bucovsky, I'm not the only one with this problem there only on the server, in addition, a Shaman in my guild also has the same problem, same for Ashs, a friend sp.

You can't use FrozenWay on Smolderforge. They dislike each other.

Likely there's a problem with the routes for going to the server, and you. That's stuff that is both beyond you or I's control. You're from France, yes? The server moved in May to Roubaix, in your country. Everyone reported a decrease in latency from most European counties. If you live in the same country as the server, and are getting 100+ ms there is something very wrong.

Additionally, those threads are from YEARS past when our server was in a different location and are no longer applicable.
