Old accounts and donations

I haven't played on Smolderforge for quite some time. So I'm pretty sure my account was cleared out for inactivity. I was just wondering if im kind of out of luck for my donation characters I had. I'm just wondering if there's any way to get my stuff back, if not then I guess im just screwed. Any responses would be great thanks.

Unfortunately if it has been deleted, it cannot be recovered at this point. I am sorry, you will have to start over.
We offer donor preservation for this kind of thing now.

I belive that instead of deleting accounts from the DB you could just download the sql data to a local drive and be able to restore it if people come back.
A 2-3TB drive anit that expensive, and you could store realy alot of accounts info on it.
Keep the players and give them a chance to come back can only be good for the server.
Even blizzard does that, moves inactive accounts to different servers, and then when you pay again you get moved back to the main server.
I know you probably dont have the cash for another server, but i belive some offline storage solution is possible, even a 50c DVD.
