Hey! So I really liked what I've seen so far about the server and I want to be a part of it. However, after downloading the "Pre-installed" torrent on my laptop and setting the realmlist I'm stuck on "Connecting". I put the files into a flash drive and took them to my desktop and I'm able to play with no problems using the exact same files. I must add that I'm able to play other private servers like Feenix-Wow both vanilla and TBC on my laptop. I really don't know what is wrong with this. Please help. Thanks

So you are using the client from our website and you're saying you're unable to connect to ours, but others work fine?

Could you tell me what exactly you're putting in the realmlist file?

I downloaded the client (pre-installed version) from smolderforge, I no longer have the Feenix one in my computer. I tried both "set realmlist connect.smolderforge.com" and "connect.smolderforge.com", I even tried the realmlist for Feenix to see if it was a client issue and neither one worked. On my desktop both of those realmlists work the same.

When I said the Feenix server works fine I meant using the Feenix client which I no longer have. But keep in mind I'm using the exact same files on my desktop which I copied to a flash drive, and on my desktop it works just fine.

You MUST always have "set realmlist" before the server address in the file. Anything else will cause it not to work.

Are you certain the file has the .wtf extension and not like .wtf.txt? Additionally, you are placing the realmlist.wtf file in the main folder (same as Wow.exe), correct? Not in Data/enXX/ right? Only in Wrath was it moved into the Data folders.

Well...after what you said I tried every way possible and nothing. Then I decided to delete the whole thing and re-extract the client from the original download and this time it worked. Thanks a lot for the help Henhouse, I'm really impressed with the assistance, I was expecting the help of a mere mortal and it was you who came to my aid, and very fast at that. You have in me a loyal player from now on :)

BTW I just got this laptop with windows 8 and I had no idea how to open a .wtf file on it, so I put it on a flash drive and modified it on my desktop then copied back and I think that's what started the issue. After a while I figured that windows 8 also has notepad and this time I modified it in the laptop itself and it worked. Consider this if you see a similar case.
