Cant log in

Hello everyone, im new to this, gonna take a break from retail and have some fun here.

Ok, i downloaded the torrent wow bc 2.4.3, installed wow in the following order: Wow,tbc, dragged the patches into wow folder, patched each one. Changed my realmlist to set realmlist
connect.smolderforge.com, when i try to log in it just says "Unable to connet"

Whats wrong?

Try this realmlist for now :
set realmlist smolderforge.dyndns.info

Try what Zoolzi said, but also check your realmlist.wtf file. Are you SURE you didn't make it realmlist.wtf.txt? That is a common problem among most Windows users. It HAS to be .wtf only.
