Can't seem to click play when i open up the wow launcher

Sorry, I'm not very experienced with posting in forums and such but I've been trying to follow the threads i can find about installing and I can't seem to get it working. I've installed classic/tbc and patched it but now after the final patch i can't open WoW because i have to close it because it starts auto updating. I've also changed the realmlist already to the connect.smolderforge.com

Did I miss a step or something? Please and thanks for the help.

Erase everything in the realmlist file, the only thing that should be in it is this:

set realmlist connect.smolderforge.com

You can do 2 things to prevent this.

1. Always open WoW via WoW.exe and now the WoWLauncher.exe program.
2. Edit the realmlist.wtf's second line that says "patchlist" instead of "realmlist" and change it to "set patchlist google.com" or anything other than what is currently has. Then the launcher will stop auto updating.
