Smolderforge Support Community

Hello there.

I recently decided to join a couple friends playing here, I downloaded the full torrent folder given by Smolderforge.
I successfully installed Classic WOW, TheBurningCrusade and all the patches needed. Also created a realmlist folder with the actual realmlist to conect to this server (set realmlist connect.smolderforge.com) and tried to login, couldn't make it.
Kept getting to that "Uploading Screen" and it starts patching up to 4.0.0 etc, I do have Cataclysm and WOTLK installed on this PC aswell, any suggestions?

I'd like to add that, after I cancel the new updating thing, It returns to the WoW window and a message pops up saying: Failed to apply patch, etc etc etc.

The realmlist.wtf file should be in the root directory of the installation. You should also pratice booting up WoW with the WoW.exe file and not by the shortcut it creates or the WoWLauncher as they will try to patch you up.

In addition, you can stop the launcher from trying to auto update by setting the "set patchlist" line to something else.

If the game is trying to patch you up, then you've done it wrong. You probably created a realmlist.wtf.txt file or put it in the wrong place.
