ok now thats weird
when I open wow it shows me the lsit of realms (1 realm in this case) and it says population offline
hows that possible? any ideas?

Please do not bump old threads.

Your problem is either you're connecting to the wrong address, have the wrong client version (TBC is 2.4.3) or the server was restarting, etc.
