Hey everyone, I hate to be that guy that looks like a complete idiot because he can't do something simple, but I just cant figure this out.

I saw a pvp video online and this server sparked my interest. So I came on and started to do some research on how to register/download the client. Here's what I got so far.


1. How to install wow 2.4.3 enGB Version - Just straight follow these directions and I'll be able to connect.

2. To create an account I clicked on "Account Manager" at the top of the screen then "Create New Account" and filled out everything and boom it said it was created successfully. To test this I tried to log into Account Management, but it said "Invalid User Name or Password". I tried one time with one account "junit123" and another time with "junit1234", just letting you know of this so you don't think I'm a... idk what to call it but the people who just create endless accounts to flood servers.

So anyways, I'm just wondering if I'm on the right track for downloading/playing the game and if you can help me with the account issue.

You don't create an account at the account manager, you do just at our root address: www.smolderforge.com

First, thank you so much for a quick reponse Henhouse, makes me like this server even more. I just follow the link you showed, clicked on the WoTLK server and began to make the account "junit12345", again it said it was created successfully, but when i tested in Account Management it said Invalid Account name or password.

Maybe I need to log into the actual server to activate the account?

Oh, and so was I right about the downloading/installing the server client to play? That's all I have to do correct?

The account manager is specific to the TBC realm -- which is why registration itself is separate. The account manager for the Wrath server is fully ready yet and hasn't been linked but if you *really* need to use it here's the link:

Oh..My...Gosh okay the accounts work! I kinda wish I didn't make that many lol just because they weren't needed. ANYWAYS.... okay my last question before I start playing and leave you alone. :)

Is the link I copied on the first page the correct way to start downloading then installing the client? I haven't had a wow client installed on my laptop so I'm completely fresh.

Well for the Wrath server you can literally just use Blizzard's patching servers since we run on the same version as retail at the moment, just leave your "set patchlist" the same and keep opening the launcher so it can patch. If you were downloading TBC(which you're playing Wrath, right?) you'd have to use the torrent to download the entire game and patches, unless you already had the CDs or something.

Oh okay, yeah I'll be doing the WotLK server, so I'll just bring out my old CDs and just let it patch up and I think I remember that all I needed to do was change the realmlist.wtf folder to your realms right? I used to play private servers a long time ago, but let me know if something has changed and that's not all I do.

I don't appear too often and Wrath is the server I'm least active on since my server is TBC and Wrath was original Pineapple WoW, but now Adam is back so maybe you'll see him :O.
