<off topic> Xbox 360 users

It just hit me a few minutes ago. My 360 got the 3 red lights :o. Had it for like 3 years now and It happened to me before but now it's out of warranty :o.

If it happened to you , how did you fix it?
Ive looked up videos and stuff but I haven't tried everything.

One way to fix it for a period of time is by wrapping a blanket around it and leaving it on with no disk in for a couple of hours. It's supposed the fix it completely but It never did for me. However it was fixed for a little while when I took it out to play it.

The only way mine got fixed permanently was to send it in :( sorry.

That's the towel trick. It's supposed to make it work for a while. But I hear that does permanent damage. The problem with sending it it, is that Ive opened my xbox before because It happened to me in the past and that made it work. The sticker that voids warranty is still there but it got scratched in the process when I opened it and Im afraid that that wont fool the people from xbox.

How long did the process take you? (to send it in and get it back)

Probably less than a week not including the time it took for them to send me a box. But now they don't send you boxes anymore cause they're homos so you can send it right away.

You have to send it in... sorry. The hardware is really not very good and can just break at any time. Mine broke when I turned it off via controller middle button >> shut down console to exit the game. Turned it back on a red rings.

Im scared of the fact that I did open my xbox before. And I knew that would void the warranty. But usually the sticker would break and that tells if oyu opened it or not. My sticker is still there but its a bit scratched.

just tell them that u scratched it by accident when u had to put it away ,unless its somewhere u cant scratch it ofc..

I agree with Tonx... A scratch doesn't prove anything. They can't penalize you without clear evidence that you opened it meaning the sticker is gone. If the sticker is still there then they can't assume anything.
