Realmlist & Download Issues
Re: Realmlist & Download Issues
Do not start World of Warcraft from Launcher.exe . Actually rename Launcher.exe to Launcherx.exe and don't use it again. You will start your game only from WoW.exe . Next thing you need to do is edit your realmlist. To do that right-click on realmlist.wtf then click ''open with'' and chose ''notepad''. Delete everything inside and type set realmlist connect.smolderforge.com then ''save'' and ''close'' . After that just start your game with WoW.exe . That's all, have fun.
If you're having problems editing your realmlist.wtf here:

Re: Realmlist & Download Issues
Alright, I did exactly what you told me to do,
I re-installed wow & tbc,
edited my realmlist, edited the launchers,
launched wow.exe, tried to log in but keep getting disconnected from server.
I think it may be because my patches haven't taken into effect, I have the folder with them in it entitled, WoW + BC + 2.4.3 which includes 2.0.0 - 2.4.3 , but they're in my downloads folder. Do I need to move them around and place them into any of my WoW folders to take effect?

You need to install the patches, not just leave them in your folder...

He's right. But this time your World Of Warcraft Client won't start updating everytime you install a patch if you've edited the Launcher.exe's name. You should see an error ''Could not locate launcher'' everytime your patch is installed. Don't worry, your WoW shouldn't locate the launcher. Now after installing all patches, edit your realmlist again. After that start World Of Warcraft from WoW.exe . When you're at the login screen look down in the left corner and see if it says ''2.4.3'' . If it does, you're all set to play! Just type your account name and password and have fun.Vord wrote:You need to install the patches, not just leave them in your folder...
Cut those patches from your ''Downloads'' folder and place them in ''World Of Warcraft'' main folder, after that start to install them.
Here's a list of every patch from The Burning Crusade. You start from the 2.0.0 untill you reach 2.4.3
If you already have 2.0.0 installed then just install the next one.
This Should be the list of patches you need to install:
patch 2.0.0 - 2.4.0
patch 2.4.0 - 2.4.1
patch 2.4.1 - 2.4.2
patch 2.4.2 - 2.4.3

How do you install the patches? I have them here in a folder but no idea how to do it, sorry I'm new to the private server scene.

Re: Realmlist & Download Issues
Nevermind, found the problem; I had installed WoW & TBC with the CD, not the installer provided in the download.
Sorry about all of this, but appreciate everyone's help!
Cheers.
