The Code was the correct one. I had to leave the game completely and reconnect for some reason. After that I was able to input the entire code instead of half.

That email you got was the correct email with the correct code. What typically causes this is when you copy & paste the code out of the email, there are certain problems with that, either copying linebreaks, or something along the nature of that. Usually restarting the game and manually typing the code fixes this problem.
