BC 2.43
So I changed my realmlist to
set realmlist smolderforge.dyndns.info
set patchlist smolderforge.dyndns.info
set realmlistbn ""
set portal eu
I also patched all the way up to 2.43. But whenever I open up WoW and sign in with my account it always tries to update to 4.0. Can you guys help out? I really miss Burning Crusade.

Re: BC 2.43
^ Those did not exist until like 3.2. Go ahead and delete those lines from the file.set realmlistbn ""
set portal eu
If it's trying to automatically upgrade you when you're logging in, it means it's reading off of the old realmlist.wtf. Meaning you probably saved the file as "realmlist.wtf.txt" and not "realmlist.wtf" and so it's reading off the unmodified one. Please insure the file in correct and then try again.

Re: BC 2.43
my file is just called realmlist.not realmlist.wtf.does that makes a diffrence?
Re: BC 2.43
It has to be .wtf it cannot be anything else. Make sure your extensions are actually being displayed -- Windows defaultly hides file extensions unless you tell it otherwise.larian wrote:my file is just called realmlist.not realmlist.wtf.does that makes a diffrence?

Re: BC 2.43
This was taken from the official Windows webpage:
Mine, for example, was set as realmist.wtf, but when I followed these steps, it appeared to be as realmist.wtf.txt . Try it out, it will probably work.
Simplifying: Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options > Clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box , click OK.A file name extension is a set of characters added to the end of a file name that determine which program should open it. Follow these steps to choose whether Windows displays these file extensions.
Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
Click the View tab, and then, under Advanced settings, do one of the following:
To hide file extensions, select the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.
To display file extensions, clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.

Re: BC 2.43
That is very strange. I know FlawlessWoW is simply a repack running on a really old TrinityCore revision, maybe it has some weird problem in it.
I'm not really sure that's very strange.
