Hey guys, this is on my mind for a long time now and i want to share it with you.
On my old server Alterac Valley used to be some kind of instance. You could port over there doing PvP vs your enemy faction or farm the bosses for reputation, honor and marks. I don't know if it's possible to implent it this way but it could replace the dead crate of azshara as "new" world PvP zone. You could also add a daily quest for raiding the bosses. You would get for example 1 weapon fragment 3 alterac valley marks and some reputation. Another daily quest could be a straight PvP quest where you have to kill for example 10 people of your opposing faction for extra honor or marks or w/e.
Let me know what you guys think about this suggestion, feel free to post improvements.

If the design was decent, it would be a very good idea. It would clear out AV from the rotation as a shitty bg, while still keeping it around in an improved form. Only problem would be if the population wouldn't be enough to support it, and sadly, that might be the case.
With enough active players, and incentive enough to go there and do shit, it would probably be a great change/addition.

Nice idea, man. That'd make the whole rep gain less of a migraine as well. Now if it was just properly scaled and presented.

Not enough players like Cube said.
Anyway you just have to take a look at Hyjal to see how much it would be a "fail".

What about adding a dragon with cool loot there you need atleast 40 people to kill. Or something almost unkillable that yet are despawned or gone wink rank1!!

Boss could drop some favorite and rare tmog items, some weapon fragments or mounts :D
Alterac Valley at its current state is just not enjoyable, atleast not as horde. It's all about grinding and zerging other players.

If winning is the only thing you enjoy, AV is obviously not your cup of tea as a horde player. But I believe that there are still people who enjoy massive and stupid fights, or others who just try to get bunkers, mines and to defend our bases. And this is how AV is still alive everyday.
Anyway, if like Zap you just think about the rewards AV has to offer to you, you'll probably not like it. It reminds me the time I was farming AB for the reputation in order to get Conqueror and it's clearly this period of time which made me realise that I was bored by this game and how I was literally losing my time.
Just stop thinking about rewards before thinking about fun.

You can have fun with zerging and still follow the BG target. Usually everyone is zerging and end of the day alliance wins.

@Apu: I'm looking for a way to acquire rep gain without wanting to murder your own team. Currently, it's mind numbing playing as horde in AV. Most BGs, these days actually. Not to mention the time for AV is during a time a lot of us simply cannot login in time for. It's not so much the rewards AV has to offer, but just a more expedient manner of getting rep.
Hyjal failed because the map is shit. LoS bugs all over the F*ing place, the usable map is small even though the zone itself is huge. And as Candy already mentioned, that dragon of crater is almost impossible.
Even if you get a raid going for it, you'll have people troll you by spamming sheep on the healers.
