9 BGs in a row just closed because of lack of ally
9 BGs in a row just closed because of lack of ally
Been playing now, got in 9 BGs, all 9 closed in 2min because there were not enought alliance.
It's time to start doing something about it, this unbalance is getting crazy.
No one enjoys BGs that close in 2min, not horde nor alliance, but people are not gona balance it by them selves and the difference is gona keep growing.
Option 1
Disable the creation of horde chars for some time and disable faction change
Option 2
Get those cross faction bgs finally
Option 3
Just do something! Whatever! Just balance it please.

Now I just spent an entire hour in que and not a single eots poped because we couln't even get 8 ally to make the bg start.
Those things like the 20 or so crashes in a row the other day are what makes people leave way more then any changes.

Re: 9 BGs in a row just closed because of lack of ally
ah dude feel free to get the fuck out and open your flawless server. i hardly doubt that 9 bgs were closed in a row but if so it must have been some error just like it happens with warsong when 6-8 bgs open at once and they all get closed due to lack of alliance.
how about you go alliance and play there? it's 11am server time.. what if i told you that people got lives, work so they can't play that early?
or you can sign up for a support group for those who lost swp gear, <war in our hearts> has one for sure

Re: 9 BGs in a row just closed because of lack of ally
They can never close Horde Fraction + I dont agree with closing it since its totally unfair someone to forse you to play something you may not want to!
I think they must add something like Every Man For Himself (Racial on Humans from Woltk), that way a lot of players would reroll Alliance! If not - you can make Will Of The Forsaken to share CD with Insignia since maybe 50% of all players are Undeads. I believe maybe like 80% of all arena players are hordes exactly because of better racial skills, its the same for BGs. Crossfacting BG can fix those issues too.
ps. What do you expect at the early hours? People are sleeping or working so its normally to dont have enought ppl to form BGs. I would suggest you to log on later when there are much more players online!

Server time is also not the cause because there were enough horde to run BGs, like 30 horde and 5 alliance.

Re: 9 BGs in a row just closed because of lack of ally
Sorry, I call bullshit. Even though I've been MiA lately, I have never once had 9 BGs in a row close, unless you're playing around 4am server when population is at its lowest, please exaggerate more.SheLexa wrote:I don't have a single horde char...

We all know the horde to alliance ratio is fucking terrible on Smolderforge, and I doubt that's ever going to change. Furthermore, I doubt that Henhouse would be able to bring in WotLK racials, as that would mean modifying or creating new spells which Henhouse has repeatedly said cannot be done in this release. If you want those racials so much, go find a Wrath server.

Many RIP members are into business and economic professions, so we offered a project to the server administration which gives more donation incomes for the server and automatically balances the faction sides. (Wasn't answered yet so sharing it here). It's a lot more detailed than the following description, however any economist will understand it, it's the standard base of the real life Market:
- Each X period of time (Could be a week, or a month), the number of faction changes is calculated.
- Based on this calculation, the next period of time would have another cost for the faction change (The cost varies from 3$ to 10$).
Take this as an example:
MONTH 1:
Horde to Alliance donation cost: 5$.
Alliance to Horde donation cost: 5$.
-- 36 Hordes donated for a faction change, moved to Alliance. (36 Hordes >> Alliance - High demand on Horde to Alliance transfer)
-- 5 Alliance donated for a faction change, moved to Horde. (5 Alliance >> Horde - Low demand on Alliance to Horde transfer)
MONTH 2:
Horde to Alliance donation cost: 8$ (since many are demanding this service, and it costs the server to get unbalanced faction sides).
Alliance to Horde donation cost: 3$ (since the demand of this server is low, and it helps the server to regain balanced faction sides).
-- Less Hordes would move to the Alliance side, since the service cost got higher and therefore the demand will get lower.
-- More Alliance players will get motivated to go to the Horde side since it's really cheap.
Conclusion: Less faction changes towards the overwhelming faction. More faction changes towards the lower populated faction.
Results: Automatic and willing-full faction balance. More donation incomes. More faction restrictions.
(The project sent was more detailed, but this is a sum-up).
