Introduction: What is Transmogrification?
Transmogrification is a new feature released with Patch 4.3.0[1] that players can access via a new ethereal Transmogrifier NPC.
It allows players to alter the appearance of their weapons and armor for a fee (in gold).

Custom Transmogrification. I have seen it on some other private server (was an Wrath of the Lich King server but I don't think these kind of scripts are depending on the game version if I'm not mistaken). It would be cool if you could do this on vanity/fun/legendary items. Or maybe do them manually on request (in order to get this you need to donate for it or 2k+ rating requirement) or you could develop an automatic system for it.

Also you will stop getting threads about Warglaives, Thunderfury's and other legendaries since they can Transmog it now have the looks of the weapons / armorpieces they want without having the overpowered stats or effects on it. They just have normal S2, S3 or S4 stats on it depending on their current gearset.

Making a C++ transmog script is not easy to make. It takes time and it is really hard. It's not hard to actually make the displayed item to change it's look. It's hard to make the rules of the transmog. I have seen a lot of servers with transmog on 3.3.5 but i don't think it would be possible on TBC. If you ask me it would be really nice to be done but it would take long to make.

Yea, I bet the people who want the warglaives, want it because of the look.

Dont see how the effort is worth it, having swp donorfags running around in warlord looking gear sounds annoying.

Yeah, like I said in my post I'm not sure if it's working on 2.4.3. since the video is made on a 3.3.5 server but still the script runs on Trinitycore and Skyfire (same core as Smolderforge) and that forum thread actually provides the source-code so maybe Henhouse can take a look at it or someone else with understanding of that kind of code.

Lol dude like I never see people with Warlord gear I see them all the time almost 50% of the mages on our server wear this gear in duel area or bg's or just other vanity / fun / legendaries from events for fun in the mall. Also everyone has his own opinion about that, I would love a feature like this and I'm pretty sure a lot of people agree with me and don't want Warglaives to faceroll r1 dru / rog that's fkn boring. BTW Seret you use fun gear yourself as well...

If there's a problem it would lie in the possibility to pull it off, if it's even possible (for 2.4.3).

If it's possible, and something that would be worked on, and possibly implemented, I don't see the problem. It's a fun-server, and it doesn't affect game-play at all. Plus, season 4/SWP gear looks like shit anyway.

Also not EVERYONE walks around with it I have suggested to put an donation price (high if manually or hard to script) on it or 2k+ rating requirement, most of the players can't even do both.

Hm, as donation I like the sound of it more.

Btw, you misunderstood me, I dont have problem with people running in warlord, but having somebody looking like warlord while having swp stats would be pretty distracting. ATM you can easy estimate what to expect from other side. Like when you see some s2 fag, you can be like "lol poor guy, lets rather CC the donor and finish this one fast"

With transmogrification, all you have is the hp/mana number and this isnt that helpful, since somebody in swp/s4 mix would have similar hp/mana to somebody in full s2. Basically you have hard time finding out what to expect from the guy, youre fighting with, giving him an advantage.

I don't think that will be an huge advantage tbh cuz you will still see the stats hp / mana difference between full PvE and full PvP players pretty easy since in full PvE most classes have around 8k hp~. And in full PvP that will be 11k~ (depending on your class of course). The SWP won't make much difference in this since people will have those stats anyways that gear is easily obtainable in the donation mall after grinding some honor.

Liking this idea. As you say its a fun server so make it fun!
