Dueling

Well for some reason ppl who duel in front of Og are like : 60-70 % rogues , 20-30 % mages , and 10 % wars , druids and the rest are random clases but mostly wars and druids . Now I also dueled in front of Sw , and things are a bit differend there. So the thing I am suggesting is a common / both faction dueling grounds . It would make dueling more colorfull , and interesting for the ppl who duel for fun and those who are practicing their class . Now , a new island would be nice or maybe plateau above Alliance camp in Hyjal . Plateau is really nice because it is wide , and flat , perfect for dueling .

I know this is like millionth time someone is suggesting this , but we might make it happen this time . If anyone has any idea please write it down in the comment! XDDDD

Read this plz...

Set a zone to sanctuary, and change the duel function to allow duelling in that zone no matter if its sanctuary or not, henry is sometimes not smart :$:$:$ he knows i love him tho :D

The reason is due to the way the current sanctuary flags work, not because I'm stupid, but because I actually know... The flags in the TBC core don't support hostile players in a sanctuary no matter what. You used to could duel in the mall, or I mean, start a duel. But once it began you both were friendly. Because of people stupidity we finally added a check to disable the starting of duels in the mall which prevented this issue. So the only way this will change is if we backport a lot of unneeded code to support that. Which I don't want as in Wrath it causes you to have to wait 20-seconds to logout, etc.


I've never been fond of cross-faction dueling. It takes away from PvPing outside city zones and simply homogenizes the server even further, yet you all ask for Horde and Alliance separation, that does not help.

so in simple words. no this will never be possible even IF henhouse wanted to.

Actually it is possible , I have played inter faction dueling in a sanctuary area , and it works just fine , you just need effort and will to make it happen .
