I played now over 5 month here on smolderforge
and first of all this is a geart server you ppl are doing a great job!
But theres just one thing witch is kinda boring, the arena inst useful at all
(ok you can get a few honor points but to be honest it inst that much :).

One example if u play 27-3 ur at 1738... that more than 90% chance to win.
If u count for every win 15 points and also for the loses u could be at 1860 and theres not much teams that even play more thatn 10 games before they get just deleted.

So here just a few suggestions to improve the 2vs2 Raitings.

1. Make Shoulders more special again.

Means as much as dont just give them out to everyone that farms like 3 bgs or donate for 5 bugs.
My idea put them on an rating that everyone could reach i would say like 1700- 1800.
This means if you donate you cant just buy s4 shoulder and if ur a normal player u cant buy s3 shoulders for honor points. They should be a sold from an special vendor.

2. All Complain about donors, even donors complain about donors...

its just a fakt that this server need donors or noone could play here (im a donor by myself).
Most ppl complain about that donors are op cause of there gear.
Infakt the pure pvp gear with 5/5 brutal and guardian stuff isnt that much better than s3 just a few stats are a bit higher thats all (This aint count for rogues and warrs cause of there weapons).
Anyway the point why donators get that sick stats is swp gear.
My idea here put them also on an raiting. Well i dont know witch are the best ratings for all that stuff so i would say let the community decide. This would also means that none donors could get them.

3. Its all about having something special.

so why u dont put a few mounts also for arena ratings to an vendor. Im missing a few mounts here like that raven thing or even bears (well dont know how much u make with for those donor bears but i dint saw that much so may the harm wount be that bad :).

Hope these are may some good ways to improve 2n2 rated.

WTB 3v3 hour like on AT :)

I've suggested similar stuff like 10000 times but the thing is that the server is also PvE, some players are only doing BGs etc. So when something arena only gets suggested Hen starts thinking of the rest of the community, like if you create the sunwell gear only available with arena rating and points the PvE players will never have it.. actually hen's argument was that sunwell wasn't scripted before, now it is(I think)... but still i'm guessing that making it for arena only won't be fair for the rest of the community that doesn't play arena. And btw 1700-1800 for shoulders is just too low.

Who needs 3v3 hour here... ppl don't need arena points when the s4 gear is for 2000 rating and thats r1. People need more motivation to do arena here but when most of the community isn't into it, bad players end up with top titles thats just ruining the whole thing... gladiator title isn't that valuable. And unfortunately developer's prior thing to fix is something that's working completely fine. Atleast the most gamebreaking bugs have to be fixed. Arena interested people already left the server... I can't think of a single active good player on SF.

I think the 3v3 hour is a good idea, just to give more options to people that already does PvP in arena.

maybe after a while u can get rewards for 3v3
would be fun to see that arena would be more used then just 2v2.

if people played more 3v3 it would be awesome, but do you know what wanca means by 3v3 hour... It's like an hour when every 3v3 game gives you 25 arena points or smth like that. I don't see that making people queue 3v3 cause not many people need points and the ones who need them have got enough.
Think of a better way to promote 3v3. Give out honor or badges or something else, I'm lazy to think now.
