So a lot of the items on the sunwell vendor require honor points or in some cases badges of justice, however a lot of players don't like battlegrounds, I personally dislike the play-style of battlegrounds and feel they rely far too much on the incompetance of others for me to enjoy them. I believe there should be the option available to purchase these items with arena points as well.
