Well, the unbalance has started to become an annoyance to me and my friends, as we mostly play our alliance toons, and the horde:alliance ratio is just horrible.
For instance, when two alliance queue, 20 horde queue.
So what I was thinking is you put a temporary restriction on horde characters being created, as this might balance the server out a bit more.

Or an alternative is to faction change some people, and this would probably be far too much work.

(This is only a suggestion, coming from most of the alliance)

We keep telling people we're always going to try thinking of ways to balance the population without having to go the route of disabling character creation. However, we never end up doing so and keep telling people that so I'll just go ahead and do what you said, disable the Horde character creation for a while. It works... temporarily.
