Personal Master NPC

A personal item in your bags that summons an NPC, this NPC could;
  • Teach that class its spells, and offer talent resets
  • Sell general goods and reagents
  • Repair gear
  • Be a world teleporter
The NPC could last for say, 2-5 min, the NPC could be on an equal CD.

I'm sure some more could be added, possibly join a BG option, but thats just something that would be nice but not needed.

Just my 2¢ on what I think would be an epic add to SF.

Don't change your font color, especially to that one.

Also such npc, takes away from the game spirit, may be extremely hard to script, and most likely would be abused.

This would require a spell to trigger and since we cannot makes spells we'd have to use another which is tricky and hard to do by replacing NPCs, etc. BG queuers are all set from within the game. You can flag them as a battlemasters or a trainer, but in the DBC files it defines exactly what BG they queue for (I discovered this when making 4.2 for AV).

This would involve a lot of scripting, quest writing, etc, etc and I'm sure the whole summon thing just would not work out well, especially in certain zones or arena if not disabled there.

I'm looking into a C++ scripted teleporter for raids at the moment, probably will come with 4.3.

Awesome features aren't going to be easy, not everything is going to be easy mode. To stand out from the crowd, you need awesome features like that.

I can create a dumb version of that by picking up engineering, so it wouldn't be "that extremely hard".
