Title Diversity in 2v2

So from what ive gathered 2's titles goes like this Rank1 veng glad then rank 2-5 are duelist and w/e after that is challenger and nothing

Since to get over like so 1900 you have to farm 1 pt wins all day long and lose 30 when you get countered i think itd be very fitting to be rewarded with a cool title for all the hard work. So I Propose something like this

Rank-1 Veng Glad
Rank-2 Merc Glad
Rank-3 Glad

And then every team outside of the top 3 but over 1900 gets duelist and everyone over 1850 gets challenger, this way it rewards all the ppl that put the time in to get the rating and maybe couldnt get to rank 1 or w/e b/c they cant get games and the rank 1 team has been at rank 1 and innactive for a long long time.

Well Thats just my two cents i know other feel that titles would benefit from being changed, so just throwing it on here so the GM's can contimplate it while the season is still in full swing.

Thanks for Reading this

Thank you for posting this here, it was been thrown at us several times already. To correct your statement, the current arena title distribution we've done works like this.

1st. Vengeful Gladiator + Vengeful Nether Drake + Swift Zhevra or Fiery Warhorse Reins
2nd. Duelist + Swift Zhevra or Fiery Warhorse Reins
3rd. Rival + Swift Zhevra or Fiery Warhorse Reins
4th. Challenger
5th. Challenger

I understand there are a bit more people playing arena and the frustration caused when server crashes or server disconnections can cause a team to forcefully lose. While there is nothing we can do about these issues, we can, however, look into extending the title distribution for arena.

Another thing I have not decided on yet but need to go over it with other people is when we normally close an arena season. We announce 1-2 weeks before hand. During this time many of the teams that were on the top start getting down because win-traders and other high ranking teams fight them, plummet their score and they cannot get it up so they farm it up by win-trading which was demonstrated by Zat in Arena Season 4 which he was disqualified and suspended.

Since this causes many problems for players, and Game Masters for having to monitor almost each and every game, I'm deciding on (when the time comes) to up and close the arena season without notice. This will eliminate any thing preventing the top-rated teams all season from not getting the rank they deserve. Like I said, it is a thought at the moment we do NOT have an ETA on when the season is closing.

What about awarding 3v3 teams? I understand there a handful of people that do it, but 2v2 is so gimped unless your Rdrui/xxx. It's true, 3's is probably harder(RMP, yes I know) But it also offers more diversity and should be easier to manage and watch, because in 3v3 you dont want to PUG some baddie to win trade, you actually have to keep your team members in check. Just a suggestion.

Sorry but there's just not enough people to award 3v3s teams. :( Last time and the only time we did was Season 4. Hopefully if we get the Fiber Optic Internet speed some day it will be possible.

Now, I've discussed with Kyle how the arena season will close this time. We will close it with titles in 2v2 functioning as this:

1st. Vengeful Gladiator
2nd. Merciless Gladiator
3rd. Gladiator
4th. Duelist
5th. Rival
6th. Challenger
^ Please note that is subject to change since we're trying to look into easier ways to award the winners. Currently we have to transfer each character over one at a time and reward them which is a very lengthy process.

I i think its unfair not to tell the date when teh season ends.. i mean its obv that Hen doesnt like me much :( so he can wait till Paws gets the rank1 and than BAM insta season end.. dunno i'd rly like to know when it ends .. believe me i dont wanna wintrade i srsly dont need to .. in s4 i was already rank1 with 80 points up from rank2 and i wintraded like 8 points lol.
BTW from tommorow i wont be able to play 7 days and ill be rly fucked up if u end the season while i cant play , cause there are like 3 teams fighing for the title and i'd rly like to fight them so this season the winner will rly deserve the title. Sorry for my awful english.

Its not unfair. The date is not announced to public for a reason. (Proven true by last seasons)

I have never up and ended an arena season. I always allowed 1-2week notice before hand, last season being 2 weeks. The reason I think it's fair is because the teams that have been in the lead will place, instead of getting bumped around by win-traders.

I don't plan on ending the arena that soon, so you should have plenty of time and when I end it, I'll have chosen the date instead of randomly ending it as you say.

Now I remember well what happened since I have good memory. It was the last day and everyone was panicing which usually tends to happen. I don't remember what place you were orignally in, probably top 2 I would say. Basically you started playing the other top ranked teams and lost twice getting you sent back to about 5th place. Being angry and not a lot of time left you resorted to win-trading up to the top, getting your account a final warning, 72-hour suspension and disqualified from the season.

This. Is what were trying to avoid. I understand how frustraighting that must have been to get kicked out of the top so quickly. With that, we don't want people panicing on the last day, and rather -- ending peacefully.
