Feedback on the 1v1 event.
Re: Feedback on the 1v1 event.
To sum-up, the events aren't a duel zone. If you don't like the competition offered in the events, you were always free to attend them or to visit the duel zone and simply duel anyone.
Every event, every place has its features. One place might be hard for you, the other might be great for you, it's an event and only one person will be winning, which creates a wave of excuses and fingers start to point at the host. What I suggest is to listen to the rules shared at first using /yell and do not share your conclusions with the rest (like the LoS one).
The huge pillars are bad for the 1v1 event, however the bridge's LoS is manageable.
The bridge is tight which makes it hard for some classes, including rogues. However the rogues were the ones to dominate in the final round.
Also, quote 1 sentence said by Keas, mentioning something about No-LoS. If you can't find that, do not point fingers at me, I know what rules were shared, you need to know when to stop spamming by chatting with 20 other players and just listen to the rules, it takes like 30 seconds.

Re: Feedback on the 1v1 event.
Do not fall of the bridge? Wait what? So bassicly if i walked down it would be okay? According to this it would.
If you read what people replied you would know that I am not the only one complaining about the area choice.
I only said it would be more intresting however i don't get the point of disqualifing SLSL warlocks.
It is still unfair to have odd number of participants.
The way you asnwer to me doesn't look like there is no personal prejudice but anyway i only made the topic because it's the 3rd event which is.. just bad. I only wanted to help, I'm not a fan of these events so i doubt i will even join one- but it's sad to watch these

Re: Feedback on the 1v1 event.
how can you compare 1v1 event to dueling zone?
Re: Feedback on the 1v1 event.
Of course not. And if you started to stop at each comma and each point I said, I'd consider to stop the debate. Logically falling off the bridge means you cannot walk down the bridge...Mayore wrote:Do not fall of the bridge? Wait what? So bassicly if i walked down it would be okay? According to this it would.
None of the contenders were bothered. As I said, even if you're not the only one who dislikes this arena, there'll be events in this arena for its features. Bad for you and 5 people? Good for 10 others. It's just an opinion which I respect, and which you should stop using as argument.Mayore wrote:If you read what people replied you would know that I am not the only one complaining about the area choice.
We both know why they're disqualified. However this event, there was no SL/SL. I can't see why are you debating on that now.Mayore wrote:I only said it would be more intresting however i don't get the point of disqualifing SLSL warlocks.
The number of the participants will be depending on the number of available Game Masters. It's for the sake of the event and the host, and it's the way it should be done to keep things organized.Mayore wrote:It is still unfair to have odd number of participants.
I don't have any purposes to make it personal, in the end, everything will be kept and running. Your arguments weren't fitting and specially the LoS one, which you created it and made this debate around it. Again, quote me saying something about LoS. If you cannot, please do not share your conclusions with the rest.Mayore wrote:The way you asnwer to me doesn't look like there is no personal prejudice but anyway i only made the topic because it's the 3rd event which is.. just bad.

I'm not comparing it, the fact that you do not want a bridge, nor los & nothing at all, makes it feel like a duel zone.

Re: Feedback on the 1v1 event.
I'm not mad. But it's bothering when someone says that you said something, whereas you didn't, and he also uses it against you. In that case, you're unable to argue due to the lack of quotes and proofs.Mayore wrote:you seem mad we can continue this tomorrow if you wish to because i really gotta go now

Re: Feedback on the 1v1 event.
Couldn't have picked a worse place for a 1v1 event. Not to mention limiting it to bridge only? Jesus christ.
What about mages that want to blink on this map? Fucked, unless by chance you happen to face the either end of the bridge.
Want to kite a bit? Good luck, trying to circle your opponent will prove to be excessively difficult because of how narrow the bridge is - essentially limiting your movement to only two directions.
Put some actual thought into the planning of your next event and you'll avoid a bunch of bullshit from people. Before the event starts, write down your rules explicitly so they cannot be interpreted in 5 different ways and make sure all attendees know and understand them.

I don't think that you realize that some classes make more profits of it than the others.
Well no? SL/SL counters many classes yes but they can be beated aswell, i can understand exclusion for healers but SL/SL not really.Keas wrote:We both know why they're disqualified. However this event, there was no SL/SL. I can't see why are you debating on that now.
Yes because one more or one less contestant would make a huge diffrence.Keas wrote:The number of the participants will be depending on the number of available Game Masters. It's for the sake of the event and the host, and it's the way it should be done to keep things organized.
That is true i was not there when you were saying the rules, i asked few people and they told me about it, also when somebody los'd people were kinda spamming, Why the hell you expect any proofs from me lol, dude I'm not SF FBI and i do not take screenshots of everything what people say. HOWEVER, you did not mention the /don't fall off the bridge/ rule because somebody jumped down in one of the first matches and you restarted the fight.Keas wrote:I don't have any purposes to make it personal, in the end, everything will be kept and running. And no- don't make me look like the bad guy here, I've discussed everything with few people and they all agree with everything or at least some parts but they simply don't want to post in here, I can ask them to tho, if the number of people complaining is a problem for you.
I won't comment about your attitude in this thread- but if you want to do excatly the same event in the same place and the same rules just to prove me that i can no do anything about it- go for it, I couldn't give a single fuck.
If you want to make the event diffrent from the typical duels I'd suggest to make some gear restrictions for example instead of limiting the area. There are so many ways to make the event look more intresting yet you chose the worst ones.

Re: Feedback on the 1v1 event.
SL/SL wouldn't be an issue if we can use the whole map, no pillars means that all classes who can easily kite, be out of los are here useless.
ah
Re: Feedback on the 1v1 event.
I'm not going to repeat myself. You're free to check the previous comments and my replies, then match them with your new, yet similar, comments. And I did say do not fall off the bridge, someone linked it when they fell. Oh, I almost forgot, you actually shared this topic and told them to come and suggest new stuff while Gentlecow was still playing, so how did you actually "discuss that with everyone" while we were still doing the event..
However thanks for your concerns and replies.
