Recording games might not be that hard. With OBS you can achieve top notch quality with 1/10 or less the file size impact of fraps.

Heck recording at stream quality you could get that down to 1/20th.

I would be easy making a script to auto zone in and record spectated games. Organizing/syncing the games to the ids would be a tricky one though.

So basically you would have some sort of a bot do it every game (actually you may need several bots).

As you may have read in our changelog, we've been recording arena matches since the start of Season 22, so it will have all matches for this season already in there when the feature goes live. :)
Any news on this ? Would be really great if this feature could go live soon or maybe next season :)

So the feature is like 90% done as of November... but one of our web developers left it unfinished. It was my goal to finish it myself over holidays, but the priority of 3v3 solo queue and various other fixes placed higher in the priority queue. It's certainty not abandoned, and something I very much so want to see released in the future.

In case you want to see how it works, an unfinished and not properly styled version is available on the arena pages here: http://dev.smolderforge.com/devsite/pvp/arena

Let me know what you think. As I said, it's not finished and does contain bugs and styling issues.
