Vendor should be removed as it is really easy to gain honor if you are a donor (free S4) and you have some pocket healers or just don't remove items which are already free at this vendor.
Currently in 2 weeks I got 4 swp items from sc (weapon, trinket, chest and cloak), in 2 days we could buy them. Remember that one with his healbot premades who had 1,5-2k HKs per day, as Destrulock number's is growing up too much, I think it's important to remove or lighten asap this vendor.

Will this make any difference, with the amount of people having SWP cancer being as ludicrous as it is now?

No question !
I only want answers !!

Srsly it will not reduce swp geared players but it will reduce the future players on Smolderforge who have SWP gears.

The current issue is that some SWP destrulock are coming to bgs with their pocket healers ofc, to be first at damages/hk (which is know to give meaning to their life).
When a new player see them, he can mainly think/say 3 things :
- Damages abused, nerf nerf nerf.
- Fuck you donor shit (I'll make a donation soon and whoop your ass)
- I'll play destrulock and be the first, the best, that's why I play games.
There is a high possibility that some new players will thus start to play destrulock as it seems really easy.
That's exactly why there is a lot of rogues (one reason).

Summary :
By removing swp vendor
> Less new swp geared destrulock/boomkins
> No more rage
> Less players switching to destrulock/boomkins
> No more rage
> ...

I made this thread b/c some players left and will leave Smolderforge due to SWP gears, that's a fact and I don't think we really need proofs to conclue that.
Henhouse said that this vendor should be removed but It's time to know when...

We are going to be implementing a system in the near future that will hurt players who opt to use too much PvE gear in PvP settings, thus, making SWP gear hinder your ability in PvP should you choose to use too much of it over PvP gear.

We find this solution much better than wiping gear, and restricting access causing major problems and upset to players who have spent a long obtaining said items, instead, allowing items to still be used, either at a cost, or have to be selective with which to use.

Please explain exactly how you will achieve this. Because if you're messing with resilience etc. then I'd like to know how to affects the game. Not saying this because I'm mad, I can always go ret where I play full PvP gear, but I would like to know what you're doing to the server since it could unbalance things dramatically. Kind of disappointed that you crumbled under the pressure of less than a dozen people arguing against SWP gear.

Translation: Feels bad, not being able to abuse pve shocker anymore.

Though could you indeed clarify how the system is supposed to work?

You're too stupid to read a sentence above that where I say I don't care since I prefer Ret anyway. I'm not here to tell him how the server is supposed to work, but I know that however he changes the server won't be how resilience and gear stacking is supposed to work. It's going to favour certain classes more than others and affect the PvP balance, all to appease a small number of people without even taking a poll.

The reason this is being done is because the server is already heavily imbalanced due to the nature of the SWP gear, and its insane affect on PvP when players have too much of it.

Yeah, but this will also unbalance things only in a different direction. With PvE gear you have diminishing returns because you have no resilience, if things are going to reverse then classes who favour survivability such as casters are going to be extremely overpowered. Why tinker with things at all? Also, things aren't that unbalanced, it's just that you listen to the opinions of too few people. If you did a poll you would find most people don't want that. And what about all of the PvE gear I've farmed to use in PvP? It's all going to be worthless for me now? Or the gear I donated for? What about the hundreds of other people who did the same? All for a dozen or so people who complain on the forums?
