Custom gear with Blizzlike stats. That is, stuff you'd expect to be on level 70s but with stats just above the current non-donor gear. Think T5.5 or 53.5 or something.

Edit: Alternatively, we can do gear pieces EVERYONE can use. Tabards, shirts, rings, and necklaces come to mind. That way even donors can get some use out of it. Assuming there aren't donor versions of those items.

but why when you can just save up BOJs for tier 6 :p? or save up honor for s3...

tabards and shirts with stats would be dumb.. i just dont see why there should be custom gear when you can just work n buy the others.

I never mentioned removing or redoing the current system. The same thing would apply.

Why are tabards and shirts with stats dumb? It's more stats and its something everyone can equip. I mean maybe not stats but gem slots at least. Does boots making you stronger make any more sense?

The boots thing was a joke, but I guess you missed that. If you want retail so bad, why play on a funserver? Part of the "fun" part of it is it's still WoW but it's different. If everything about the server was Blizzlike, we wouldn't have Hyjal, a mall, and we sure as hell wouldn't all start out at level 70.

Nobody's been able to give a definitive answer (aside from the fact that they're not Blizzlike, which is a silly argument on a funserver if you ask me) as to why tabards with stats are a bad thing. Or even something as unintrusive (appearance wise, for the people who might argue that they _have_ to look good) as a shirt.

I'm honestly perplexed.

Please re-read my above post more clearly. I never stated why you play on funservers. I said:

Which was actually more my opinion and a general observation about why I think most people play funservers.

Let's let Henhouse speak for himself, he is an adult after all. I'd, of course, run everything by him first. Custom items and properly done custom items can be two different things, as (apparently) insane as that may sound to some.
