Wouldnt say the ruin pvp (because bgs are about 10+ idiots vs other 10+ idiots ganking in the middle)but its sure pretty lame with all the ss´s, engi, alchi and quest shit spammed.

Doing something about mats access or bigger cd sounds nice.

Firstaidkit wrote:Give me one good reason why Henhouse should disable / remove this instead of just sayin' remove this because it's unfair. Everyone can just farm the potions and use them so there is nothing unfair here really. I would say: Deal with it. Your playing a class that depends on stuns so why are you complaining now?
Your post is confusing, so the first thing I did was... looking for the problem in my own post, because it's Christmas!

Anyway, by removing I didn't mean to prevent making them. The second people have to farm them, I'm totally fine with that, and that's actually what I want. As of now you just jug them around like a boss the second you're Exalted with SWP, as every single material can be bought.
This sucks!
When the new database is ready, there probably will be all these herbs/minerals spawned for harvesting pleasure. What a great opportunity to make these Harvesting professions useful, and give a halt to the fotm Alchemy/Engineer stereotype, which is flasked up all day (with 2 bags full of grenades, and FAPs).
The second people have to farm this stuff, it most certainly will have an impact how often it will be used... most notably when you have to fish for those aswell.

from my view it'd be a shame to have a situation become more reliant on items than the very spells given by each class.

...thats just me.

In a duel that's certainly an issue, although I never saw that happen, unless someone was so desperate to make that defeat look ridiculous.
In a BG you can't have enough spells to prevent getting swarmed occasionaly. ;]
But I never saw the issue in free action potions tbh (and seriously, whoever uses living action potions is doing something wrong, as they suck), it's more the Flasks which get used too often imo, they add more damage, considering that people complain about a S3 to S4 difference, those consumables grant 2-3 times of that.

In the end it's a feature which belongs to WoW, I'm pretty sure if you have to put some effort into those, as it's intended, they won't be used so excessively, and even if someone does, he get's trashtalked for having no live. =P
But seriously, I'd suggest to make people farm materials instead of just selling everything, if that doesn't work the CDs can still be altered.

That could be another solution. Make the mats/pots/whatever actually cost something. A heavy amount of honor or boj's for example. But it would have to be a good amount of it, because otherwise we'll just have the same problem (subjective I know) as we have now. I still think the farming option is better by far, but it may be in conflict with the "fun-server" concept. But then again so is farming rep, even though the rate is higher around here.

If someone on retail had this recipe would you insult him too? It was pretty easy to get on retail so what's the reason for farming it on a private server? You actually need exalted with Shattrath Sun Offensive which you have to farm for a few days while on retail you could just buy it in major city for a few silver with at least Alchemy 150. Really don't see a problem here only for the class rogue which is ovepowered so this counters them pretty much :). Problem?

I only see a bunch of rogue kids in this thread who think they're class is broken because of this xD Reroll class son if you can't handle the potions.

why are rogues crying anyways? is it getting hard on their faces when someone uses those potions? stop crying because someone thought of a way to counter the gayness of 3 rogues stun locking and preping when its not even needed

I guess you guys are talking about the action pots specifically now? Yeah, they were fairly easy to get a hold of on retail. Just as they would be easy to get around here if you'd have to farm the mats.

As for getting SSO to exalted, yeah that takes a few days. But these few days provides you with limitless alchemy/engineering mats. A few days of farming mats on retail would hand you quite a lot of mats. But far from a limitless amount which I believe is the main issue being discussed here. Not just for action pots, but for all alchemy/engineering toys.

And action pots goes the other way around as well, a rogue with that pot can be quite annoying to say the least. A rogue who pops it in every fight you get with him during a bg is beyond that by far. Not all classes have problems with these since they don't rely on snares/roots/stuns, but it's a bit more than just Rogues. Mages, Hunters and Warriors can take quite a beating because of these, and that's 4/9 classes in the game.

But as said, I'm not suggesting to remove them. Professions have always been there to give an edge for those who were willing to take the time. But here it doesn't just give an edge, it gives people new abilities not designed for their classes.

Eh rogues o.o

Stuns arent that needed in bgs anyway and with sprint FAP aint that much of a big deal. The shit was waaaay more annoying as a mage because you got no ways to defend yourself, from the nasty rogues for example.

Bging spr crying about rogs is funny too but guess thats an other topic :d
