Great, the new core sounds amazing. Have u been able to solve the problems u were having with the stability? Hopefully with the new core and a new arena system we'll see alot more ppl competing in 2v2 and even 3v3.

I think the problem was the Warden system they implemented into the core of OregonCore -- it's not the one we have and it's the REALLY, REALLY bad one where it literally does nothing but think people using portals are hackers, etc. I think that was the cause of it, and I can disable that; however I'm trying to convince the devs to remove it and implement the Warden we use and hopefully in the future reprogram aspects of it that are a little buggy like the wall-hacking detection.

I recorded a video that I put on our YouTube channel comparing the differences to show them and it's gotten their attention. I'm going to start now actually working to get the Warden they put in there out and start manually trying to backport CWN's Warden into OregonCore and see how well that goes -- hopefully I'm successful.

I guess all I can do is wish u good luck. If it works out and u get the new core up and running, have u considered more advertising? I'm sure the new core would attract alot of new people, and the server really does need more players. I noticed Deems mentioning something about a new promo vid, maybe it's worth pursuing.

Well I hate those voting sites because the only way to get people to do it is restrict something in-game that cannot be obtained unless you vote or get free stuff and people spam it all over their website and I hate that...

Now advertising on forums like MMOwned or ArenaJunkies(which I guess we'll be able to start doing since we're going to have a more stable PvP system) will suffice.

Now I mean I don't want to attempt competition with AT because they are different in their own way and we share different views and interests. They simply focus on one thing -- arena. And really, as we've seen don't give a shit about their players and wipe people's stuff(and donors) like monthly. Now, we offer more things to do, since we are a "funserver". We're going to try implementing some more stuff on Smolderforge to do, I know we already have plans to revisit a raid we need to script. I might look into getting Sunwell scripted sometime possibly even though people will fail at doing it. Making the gear obtaining much, much harder as we have made the system easier, and more things to do since you run out at level 70.

Then it's pretty much work on PreBC, I know so many people are excited and we've not been able to have full focus lately but now I'm done with a lot of real-life stuff and can resume work as soon as the core switching has pretty much been completed.

How's the work on the PreBC server going? I for one really enjoy PreBC, so I hope we'll see it online in the near future.

All the remains is the competition of Blackrock Spire, reset of Zul'Gurub, and checks on everything making sure it's the way we want it.

I'd love to see a scripted ZA with something cool for rewards if you complete the speedrun. ;o
