@Cube Oh, I assume it was not clear at all, my mistake.
I wanted to highlight and complete what you pointed out.
Following that, profession trainers and vendors would be in a same place (in Kalimdor to avoid the map swapping which resets the queues e.g. the Goblin Oil Rig).
Vendors could be gathered together into two NPC sorted out in multiple selling options. The first sells materials of every profession and the second one sells the recipes and patterns which cannot be added to the trainer.
Last but not least, it should completely leave out the reputation system.
Indeed it reduces the absurd amount of time players have to consume to be granted the access to professions.
It is even possible to add a vendor which sells all sorts of crafted items. But it raises two questions: why wouldn't they simply craft the items by themselves if there is a cost? What to do with all the complains from those who donated to get exalted?
Anyway if we had to introduce such a change, we need to take this opportunity to simplify many angles of Smolderforge:
- Gather similar vendors into single ones in the mall
- Modify the current mall pattern to make people notice the important vendors, without obstructing the game objects and NPC related to seasonal events
- Do the same in a battlegrounds/arena place to a lesser extent
- Add the missing dungeons to Liron
- Add a place for appearance modifications
