Re: Is there a solution for non peak server times?

I've been playing SF for a little while now on and off.
I'm from America so time zones and distance (latency) play a big factor in how frequently I play.
Lately I've been logging on around 10p-2a my time. So Serverside that is 5am-9am. Usually there's a whopping six to thirteen people on; sometimes if I'm lucky I'll see twenty or so people on.
Understandably during this time very little battlegrounds are active. Is there a remedy to this that would be feasible and easy to implement?
I had a couple thoughts on this but was unsure on how complicated or difficult it would be, so I'm here - asking for input as an open discussion on how to give the people that aren't able to play during peak times something to do. I mean, I've been working on other things, getting my set together, making sure I'm up on all my rep and stocking my characters, but I would like to PvP when I am available to play - perhaps I'm asking too much, we'll see.

-Obviously Cross faction BGs would be great but I know that's been discussed many times before so I won't get into it.
-I would love to see Warsong's hours extended. I'd say even all the way to 10a/noon server time. There are so few people on it is the only battleground that could accommodate a smaller group adequately.
-Perhaps lower the required amount of people participating in a battleground. I wouldn't mind 3v3 warsongs, with only six people on it's not that hard to have people swap factions and organize a small capture the flag game. Yeah sure there are 3s that people could queue for, but who wants the same matchup over and over for something that gives you a rating when you just wanna fuck around and pvp..

All that aside i realize I'm asking you to change a little bit about the server that may take a little time for six to twenty people - who gives a shit right? Meh, maybe nobody; however it doesn't hurt to ask.

Other thoughts?

at 3 a.m. (server time) WSG battlemaster changes to AB battlemaster. would love to see this disabled at least for couple of hours (better utill like 8-10 a.m.). at that time BGs pretty much ends for the night. that change might help a little bit and maybe we'll have some BG even at the night time.

*With that few of people queuing at that hour (many are usually dueling, etc.) I'm not sure this solution would help as much, but maybe would aid it. CFBGs are something we have not developed, but if we one day do, it would make sense to apply it to this situation as well.
*We extended them before, but it seems like it's time to again. The majority of our players have always been European, but we did have a moderately healthy American scene for a while. It seems that scene has become very small now, however, as has most of TBC.
*This is a good solution too. We would need to rewrite some rules in the core to only apply it to those hours, however, considering that we don't want 3v3 matches spawning out at peak hours. While I'm sure they would fill up, a 2nd or 3rd instance of WSG would then allow a minimum of 3 people, and that may seem a bit odd during peak times.

Would be cool if you could lower the amount of people for a battleground to start on hours where it's necessary, really nice suggestion.
If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you..

WSG times need to be extended at night, the second it clicks to AB when population is under 20, the numbers fall to single digits. Either reducing the number of people queuing, like you've done with WSG, or focusing entirely on WSG may be a viable choice.

Granted, I'm a Murican, but from 6pm pacific to around 2am (which is about when WSG flips back around.) you can't do anything on the server outside of dueling, dailies, and afking.
I've mentioned that before, but I guess the care cup still resides as empty.
