The current private server TBC PvP scene is a little stale. Especially since we're stuck with 2v2, It's slow paced and the same old 2.4.3.

What I'm suggesting is to try some new/old things to freshen up the arena meta, at the start of a season or maybe mid season, implement something for only 2 weeks or so & see how it turns out.
I believe changes like these could mix up the gameplay a little bit and make more classes & comps viable in arena.

Rocket Boots in arena
Seen in: Menismyforte - S4 2200 Shadowpriest TBC
Used at: 2:56, 0:56, 12:06, 3:31, 5:03 & some other times in the video too.

[Rocket Boots Xtreme] were usable in arena from patch 2.0.3 to 2.4.2
[Rocket Boots Xtreme Light] however were only usable in arena from patch 2.4.0 to 2.4.2 (got introduced in 2.4.0)

Patch 2.3.0 [Mystical Skyfire Diamond]
"A Mystical Skyfire Diamond is a meta gem with a 15% chance to reduce the next spell's casting time by 50%, with a 45 second internal cooldown. When it procs, a 6 second buff is given, called focus. Seen in: Pretty much every pvp video before patch 2.4.0, the gem originally had a 2% chance to make your next spell instant cast(can be seen in this video quite a lot), that was nerfed rather quickly and replaced with a 5% chance to reduce next spell's casting time by 50%, but without a cooldown. It was then once again nerfed in 2.3.0, making it a 15% chance but with 45 second internal cooldown.

Thoughts?

I already feel like I am playing new meta TBC on this server. Honestly I have never played on such server like this. Almost everything is different from what we are used to. Its cuz of custom "fixes" and bugs(shorter combat, wlock bugs and tons of others.. yayaya it is blizzlike,proof me wrong jk lel, no its not but this topic isnt about it)... We were unable to beat anyone with old strategies. Especially without equipment.(full s4 is rly needed to get atleast some rating with this big dmg of 15k HP LDs and other teams as well - PR is rly out of dmg we are used to). We had to edit almost every our strategy to have atleast a little bit chance of getting win in arenas. Especially against LD. I even noticed that high rating teams have different strategies/gameplay styles then they had on AT or similar servers. And these are the same players, same names as they were on AT.

So the "meta" is changed. But those suggestions ... idk it will make something new, fresh but... isnt this server already enough custom? I would rather focus on population/3v3 bracket. With 130 online players(yes, those 10 in duel zone, 30 afking in tanaris and those 90 are where???) there should be more than one 1490 team in 2s que. ... on AT(NG) with this population, spectator was full of arenas... there is literally 0.

Because very few people actually care about TBC arenas anymore. Especially 2v2.

btw also disproportion between .server info online count and /who online count is weird ... someone might be thinkin u are boting population :O

Okay let me explain what "Active connections" means vs. players online in the game. If someone is logged into an account eg: at character selection screen that is an active connection. This includes players who have not loaded into a character yet, or were booted to the character screen after AFKing for over 15 minutes.

It's been that way forever.
