Dear Smolderforge community, I've a fun event idea to share with you! I got this idea from thomas the tank engine where thomas (train) goes trough a tunnel and makes a soundeffect similar to /train in WoW. The idea of event is that Taurens prepresent Tunnels and Gnome represent Thomas the tank engines.
You need 10 gnomes and 10 taurens. taurens and gnomes form 10 pairs. Gnomes stand in a line at X spot and taurens have their own line like 60yards away straight infront of the gnome line. gnomes will use walk and be absolutely hammered from ingame beverages so it's harder to walk straight. The first gnome who walks trough his tauren partner's legs and makes /train emote when he's exiting, wins the event.
We could make the event harder by adding mobs to event field so there's a random element those mobs daze you.

Re: Thomas the tank engine event
Hello and thank you for your event idea.
The Taurens are dispersed without the knowledge of their gnome-partner, and then the gnome has to pass-by his tauren-partner by luck and use /train to win? Isn't targeting the taurens a problem, since he can figure out where does his partner stand?

Re: Thomas the tank engine event
This is why we need random elements such as mobs that can daze gnomes. The distance between gnomes and taurens could be several hundred of yards so there's space to make obstacles.Keas wrote:Hello and thank you for your event idea.

I'm wondering if it is possible to spawn a wave of monsters at 50 yard, 100 yard,150 yard,200 yard (assuming distance between gnomes and taurens is 250 yards). There could be a chance that the gnome dies before he can reach his partner so he'd get teleported back to beginning.
I can't come up with a solution to targeting problem but I don't know whether it's critical or not.
Re: Thomas the tank engine event
That would require a script & a vast new area, which will deviate the developers from working on fixing the bugs. Also the targeting is crucial, since when the gnome knows where his tauren-partner is, he'll simply pass by him and win.
Any other events in mind?
Thank you for your idea anyway :)
