Guild vs Guild or Horde vs Alliance?
Re: Guild vs Guild or Horde vs Alliance?
This small feature can be changed once the guilds attending prove that they can afford enough members to compete. If they do, no problem, we change the number of players.
However, it seems that rarely, a PvP guild affords such availability. You should keep in mind that if 10 members are available, this number will drop radically because of the following factors taken into consideration:
- Allies and Hordes aren't in the same team (If it was a cross-faction guild).
For example, if the guild has 7 Allies and 3 Hordes online, the number of groups is only 1. I know these Hordes might be able to re-log as Alliance, but who said it's a sure thing?
- The attendance is based on the players specs.
We will not allow in the event, groups like RDruid/Rdruid/Ele/Ele/Ele or SL/SL. Instead and to keep it fair, there will be only 1 spec of each class. In other words and again if the guild has 10 members online, 2 of them might be RDruids and 3 others might be be SL/SL locks. Which means 2 out of 5 members can attend the event, in this specific case.
- The willingness to attend the event.
As simple as that, if someone doesn't want to join the event because he's in a bad mood/in a hurry/whatever the cause is, he won't join the event.
To resume everything, even if the guild has 10-15 players available (which is really rare and not affirmed yet from any guild, on this thread) we're not sure if this amount will be willing/allowed to attend the event. There are under 5 guilds who could afford such availability, are you willing to end the event and reward players after 2 matches?

Could you name the PvP guilds able to cover more than 10 players? I mean what about the smaller guilds?Wacco wrote:isn't 5v5 to low?

Re: Guild vs Guild or Horde vs Alliance?
Horde vs Alliance is clearly more interesting, we can still organise premades between guilds, etc.
I agree with Wacco, 5v5 seems to be low for this kind of event.
Do you think that we'll see a gear restriction ?
Sadly this event comes months after the growth of my guild Bananas (hi haxo). : /

Re: Guild vs Guild or Horde vs Alliance?
In a Guild vs Guild scenario do you guys think that Alliance guilds have the player base to match the Horde?

Re: Guild vs Guild or Horde vs Alliance?
That would be the Alliance's concern to deal with this. We cannot stop the BGs because a faction is less active or weaker than the other faction. Same here, on a smaller scale. Either merge or recruit more players, after all, it'll only pay back for the hard working guild.Hartun wrote:In a Guild vs Guild scenario do you guys think that Alliance guilds have the player base to match the Horde?

Re: Guild vs Guild or Horde vs Alliance?
Alliance vs Horde allows players from different guilds to play together, just because populated guilds usually means weak players : we can see it with current populated guilds.
Guild vs Guild is restrictive, and Alliance vs Horde also includes the possibility to play with your guildmates.
Therefore, why do people are voting Guild vs Guild rather than Alliance vs Horde ?

Re: Guild vs Guild or Horde vs Alliance?
Mainly cause #GuildName has beaten #GuildName gives a lot more credits. Making the guilds stronger, more active member-wise and easier to attract good players.Apuclevercow wrote:Therefore, why do people are voting Guild vs Guild rather than Alliance vs Horde ?
I know it becomes restricted at some point, but you should also know that the number of conflicts estimated to happen in the faction war, is really high.
It's just like economy, making a number of guilds compete will only make them better. Competition is the key to develop. If you're without a guild, that could be a problem, but you're also free to form a guild and compete in its name. Also what if the World PvP zone comes back? This event would either become GvG anyway or close.
