Smolderforge also was run on a home computer and maxed at about 80 people. I don't think it's as needed anymore. :PImperium wrote:LOL I had forgotten about Tylon. was not aware that was Liron's wife, the fuck. Seriously though, that system worked :/ would be pretty cool to see that come back.Henhouse wrote:Holy crap, you were here back when we had RAID HOUR? Hot dang, you've been here a while. Even those memories are foggy to me now.Imperium wrote:you guys have to figure that SC actually worked in terms of PvE when it was installed.
there was a big ol event yelling when it was open and broadcasting the whole raid to the server. was pretty cool, and people flocked to it, made instant raid groups and attempted it. back then it wasnt dificult at all, and served as kind of a "starter raid"/"ego boost" and players then, after clearing it went on to kara/any other raid with their same group.
i want it back, though I probably wont get a chance to raid it since my timezone is fuckedd compared to you euro guys.
Liron's wife... Tylon would teleport you to raids... LOL.
I think SC will be good success again. As long as SWP gear is involved -- people will do it. When SC first opened people were wrecked by the mechanics and style of raiding. It was more move, move, move, do this quick, styled else you're all dead and I don't think a lot of players figured that out until it was too late.
Less than a week later; however, players were already downing the last boss. Takes a bit of time, and I expect the players will take a bit longer now since IQ levels have dropped. I also expect the amount of QQing to be high.
I've been slacking on work with SC due to other priorities on SF. Someone suggested shoot for a March 22nd -- Smolderforge's 5th birthday release. May do.
