Please Fix Physical Damge and Spell pushback Issues
Please Fix Physical Damge and Spell pushback Issues
I play Melee classes and Caster classes on different TBC 2.4.3 realms.
I did a damage test recently. I used exact same gear, talent, race and spell for the test.
And I found some PvP problems about this server.
The damage test resault is rogues and warriors "yellow" damage on Smolderforge is 17% higher than Arena-tournament(Nextgen), and the "white" damage here is 35-40 higher. I haven't test for Hunters, Enchane Shamans and Retribution paladins yet because I'm not well known about them.
For casters, it seems the spell resistance chance(test with 70 spell pen gear against non-warlock classes) is higher than it should be, and the spell pushback/interrupt are also more than ohter WoW servers.
Priest flash heal(1.5sec cast) can be pushback to 3.5sec cast with 2/2 [Martyrdom] talent.
I think this is one of the reasons why we lacks on casters and healers in BGs.
Please take my post as a suggestion not a complaint.
I wrote all the test resault for rogues/warriors and feelings for casters honestly and respectful.
I really hope that GM team could fix the issues and make the realm better, so we can bring more our friends to Smolderforge and remembrance the old times.

Re: Please Fix Physical Damge and Spell pushback Issues
Well you're kinda right, I "tested" spell pen with different values - started with lame 20 and had even 150 and result is always the same, you get high number of resists no matter what. For example spriest got 10% from talents and let's say 100 from gear and even (sorry for the expresion) dumb warrior resists devour plague. And it's kinda flustrating burning two cds (inner focus+devour plague) just to have it resisted, fear resists are other thing but those are modified by warrior/priest/feral talents and being undead :).Wantedx wrote:

Re: Please Fix Physical Damge and Spell pushback Issues
Never had any issues with physical damage. Although a lot of factors play a role in that regard, did you test this on something with different armor values? And how do 40-50 damage relate to that, was that naked (to rule out a scaling issue)?
The only ability which has issues from what I can tell is a Feral's rip, as it scales better with base AP compared to other sources.
When it comes to spells, their misses are capped at 1%, you can't get below that. Penetration does do jack in that regard on top of that, it only counters resistance itself, which probably didn't play any role in those tests. Should be tested with like ~140 casts to get a reliable result.
No idea on pushback tbh, but it's RNG aswell.

I tested them by exact same targets, weapons, enchantings, ability/ auto-attack, gears and talents.Peekaboo wrote:Never had any issues with physical damage. Btw about the pushback, I just saw a hunter's Aimed shot got pushback from 2.3 sec to 3.5 sec..

I would appreciate if any admin would at least look into this.

A side by side video comparison would be really good. I might try to make one in the next few days.
